Walmart SparkCon 2026 Brings Cybersecurity Focus, Associate Engagement to Tech Conference
Walmart's free cybersecurity conference SparkCon 2026 heads to Sam Walton Hall in April, covering AI defense and quantum-readiness.

Walmart's annual cybersecurity conference, SparkCon, is headed to Sam Walton Hall at the company's new Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas this April, open and free to anyone who wants to attend. The 2026 edition will bring together Walmart associates, security practitioners, technologists, students, and emerging talent to work through topics including AI in defense and quantum-readiness.
Walmart Global Tech announced SparkCon 2026 on its public blog and LinkedIn page, where the company described the event's trajectory: "SparkCon has evolved from a small meetup into a dynamic conference uniting practitioners, technologists, students and emerging talent to explore what's next in digital defense."
Much of that growth traces back to one person. Since 2018, Debora Wills has helped shape and scale the conference, "expanding its reach, deepening its impact and strengthening the broader cybersecurity community along the way," according to the company. No other speaker names or session schedules have been announced.
The conference arrives at a moment when cybersecurity is absorbing two fast-moving pressures: the integration of AI into defensive systems and the looming challenge of quantum computing, which threatens to break widely used encryption standards. SparkCon 2026 is framed around both, along with broader community learning for attendees at any experience level.

For Walmart associates specifically, the event represents access to a conference-level cybersecurity program without cost or registration barriers. The company described it simply: "It is open and free to anyone ready to learn."
Exact dates within April and a full program schedule have not yet been released by Walmart Global Tech.
