Walmart Stores in Biloxi Face Bread Tampering Arrest, Safety Response
A 33 year old Texas woman was arrested after customers discovered razor blades embedded in loaves of bread sold at two Biloxi Walmart locations. The incident prompted store removals and inspections, refunds for affected customers, and a police appeal for anyone who bought the products to check and report findings.

Camille Benson, 33, was taken into custody after razor blades were found inside loaves of bread purchased at a Biloxi Walmart Supercenter and a Neighborhood Market. The first complaint came on December 5 when a customer alerted employees at the Supercenter. A second report at the Neighborhood Market followed on December 8. After employees inspected inventory at both stores they discovered additional tampered loaves and notified law enforcement.
Benson was charged with attempted mayhem and was held on one hundred thousand dollars bond. The Biloxi Police Department asked customers who purchased bread at the impacted stores to inspect the product and to report any findings to investigators. Authorities continue to investigate the source of the tampering and whether additional products were affected.
Walmart removed and inspected potentially affected products at the two Biloxi locations and offered refunds to customers who bought impacted items. The company emphasized that the health and safety of customers is a top priority as stores worked to isolate and account for inventory. Store employees played a central role in identifying the tampering after a customer complaint and in carrying out the immediate safety response.

For frontline workers the episode underscores a growing set of responsibilities that go beyond stocking shelves and ringing up sales. Employees were required to handle potentially dangerous items, coordinate with law enforcement, assist customers seeking refunds, and conduct inventories under the pressure of a safety incident. That work can create stress and raise concerns about workplace safety protocols, training, and the level of support offered by management during investigations.
The incident may prompt store managers and corporate loss prevention teams to review procedures for inspecting packaged goods, tracking returned items, and communicating with staff and shoppers during safety events. For customers the episode is a reminder to examine packaged food before use and to notify store staff if they suspect tampering.
