Kith has turned 8500 Sunset Blvd. into something bigger than a store. The brand reopened its West Hollywood flagship on May 6, taking over the ground floor of the former Fred Segal site and more than doubling the footprint of the original 2018 shop on the lower level.

That move matters because the address does heavy lifting. Set at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard, the flagship sits on one of West Hollywood’s most visible retail corners, and Kith is using it to sell a polished lifestyle as much as clothes. The company says the redesign makes it its largest store to date, a multi-level experience built to feel immersive rather than transactional.

Founder Ronnie Fieg worked with architect Ben Porto of Porto Architecture on the redesign, which rethinks both the façade and the interior in a more luxurious register. The materials do a lot of the talking: wood tambour, Venetian plaster, Calacatta Vagli stone, Emerald Quartzite, Rosa Aurora and Resawn Kebony Shou Sugi Ban wood cladding give the space the kind of tailored finish usually reserved for hospitality projects or private clubs.

Inside, the layout is organized like a fashion house with better snacks. There are separate rooms for Kith men’s, women’s and kids’ lines, along with a curated multi-brand assortment. The new Apothecary section pushes into wellness, while the VIP Studio pairs the retail floor with McIntosh high-fidelity audio, turning a shopping stop into a listening-room moment.

Kith also introduced Ronnie’s Pronto, its first grab-and-go café concept, before the store doors opened. The menu runs from breakfast and lunch sandwiches to bowls, salads, espresso drinks, matcha and Kith Treats, which extends the brand’s familiar sweet-tooth appeal into a more polished daytime ritual. Early in-store exclusive launches tied to the Kith & New Balance 99X Series and the Kith Summer 2026 Collection gave the reopening a product hook, but the larger story is the real one: Kith is treating the modern flagship as a stage set for how it wants people to live, not just what it wants them to buy.

The symbolism of the site sharpened the message. Fred Segal’s West Hollywood store at 8500 Sunset Boulevard closed permanently in 2024 after years in the heart of the Sunset Strip, and Kith has stepped into that legacy with a more expansive, more self-consciously experiential vision. In West Hollywood, the new flagship is less a bigger store than a clearer statement of what luxury retail now has to do.
