Pokémon x PUMA Sun and Moon Capsule Drops April 2 With Four Characters
PUMA's Pokémon 30th-anniversary drop gives Pikachu, Espeon, Umbreon, and Mimikyu each their own silhouette, priced from $110.

Four Pokémon. Four silhouettes. One organizing principle borrowed straight from franchise mythology: light versus shadow.
PUMA's "Into Another World" capsule with The Pokémon Company arrived April 2, built around Pikachu, Espeon, Umbreon, and Mimikyu, each assigned a distinct shoe treatment within the brand's existing lineup. The collection marks Pokémon's 30th anniversary, the franchise having launched in 1996, and represents the full expansion of what started last October as a single, ultra-limited $300 Suede dedicated to Mewtwo. That release looked like a one-off at the time. It wasn't.
The organizing concept draws on the Sun and Moon side of Pokémon lore, pairing Espeon, the Sun Pokémon, against Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokémon, and threading the contrast of warmth and shadow through every colorway decision. Espeon claims the Mostro silhouette in Pearl Pink and Strong Gray at $130. Umbreon takes the Fade Nitro in PUMA Black and Energizing Yellow at $125, reversing the palette logic of the Pikachu version of the same shoe, which flips to Energizing Yellow and PUMA Black at the same price. Mimikyu, the ghostly disguise Pokémon, lands on the Inverse in Alpine Snow and PUMA Black at $110, the most restrained read of the four and, not coincidentally, the most wearable outside of any Pokémon context.
Pikachu also anchors a fifth shoe, the basketball-specific All-Pro NITRO 2 from PUMA Hoops, dressed in yellow and black mesh with a white lightning graphic cutting across the stripe logo and red patches at the cheeks that mirror the character's most recognizable detail. It is the loudest piece in the lineup and the one most likely to travel beyond sneaker collectors into hoop culture.
The apparel side spans T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, oversized jerseys, and PUMATECH-X tracksuits, using clean graphic treatments and minimalist motifs rather than all-over character prints. Family sizing covers both adult and kids' cuts, accessories start at $40, and footwear caps at $150. The pricing architecture is deliberate: accessible entry points spread across a wide demographic, not a single prestige piece for the collector market.
That accessibility reads differently right now given where Pokémon sits culturally. The franchise's trading card market is running at temperatures that make sneaker hype cycles look measured. A Pikachu Illustrator card owned by Logan Paul sold at auction for more than $16 million in February, setting a record for the most expensive trading card ever sold. A wearable collaboration that puts four of the IP's most recognizable characters onto sub-$150 footwear arrives at precisely the right moment of franchise momentum.
The full collection is available at PUMA.com, PUMA flagship stores, and selected PUMA retailers. Where the Mewtwo Suede proved there was appetite for premium Pokémon footwear, "Into Another World" answers the follow-up question: how wide can that appetite stretch? At four characters, five silhouettes, and a price range starting at $40, PUMA is clearly betting on very wide indeed.
