Weekend Max Mara and Sebago Reimagine the Classic Boat Shoe for Spring 2026
The third and final "A Weekend with Sebago" capsule closes a three-year partnership with Sebago's Docksides in four leather and suede colorways at €319.

Three years in, Weekend Max Mara and Sebago chose to close their partnership on their strongest footing yet. The third and final edition of the "A Weekend with Sebago" capsule, released for Spring/Summer 2026, shifted silhouettes from the loafer territory of previous seasons to something arguably more iconic: the Docksides boat shoe.
Where the first edition, for SS2025, offered the Dan penny loafer in brown, burgundy, and black at $595, this final chapter brought the price down to €319 while trading up on versatility. The Docksides arrived in four variations, each anchored by a white sole that ties the palette together cleanly: smooth leather in white and brown for a crisp, nautical tone, and soft suede in blue and khaki for something more relaxed and land-bound. The removable tassel detail, a recurring flourish across the collaboration's run, returned here as a quiet throughline connecting all three editions.
The logic of the pairing was always apparent. Weekend Max Mara, the Italian lifestyle diffusion line launched by Max Mara Group in 1983, built its identity around dressed-down elegance: pieces that look unconsidered without sacrificing construction. Sebago, now part of BasicNet Group alongside K-Way, Woolrich, and Superga, carries decades of East Coast nautical heritage in the Docksides, a silhouette that has barely changed since the brand first started making shoes in Maine in 1946. That shared commitment to functional design with clean lines made the collaboration feel less like a marketing exercise and more like an obvious overlap of two compatible aesthetics.
The Docksides transitions easily by design: from a waterfront promenade to a city pavement or a terrace lunch. The white sole gives the SS2026 version a lightness the leather-soled loafer editions didn't carry, and the suede colorways, particularly the blue, push the shoe into genuine summer territory without tipping into beachwear. The brown leather iteration is the most versatile year-round, the kind of shoe that slides under wide-leg trousers or a midi skirt without demanding to be noticed.
At €319, it sits in the mid-luxury range, noticeably below the previous edition's $595 price point. For a collaboration piece closing out a three-year arc, the pricing is measured rather than commemorative, which suits Weekend Max Mara's positioning precisely: nothing too flashy, everything considered.
The capsule has rolled out through Weekend Max Mara's retail network. With this final edition now in stores, the collaboration concludes having worked its way through two of Sebago's most storied silhouettes. Whether three editions was always the intended scope or simply the right number of chapters, the partnership ends with its most wearable shoe yet.
