Amulet necklaces lead spring 2026's bold jewelry reset
Spring 2026 is trading whisper-thin chains for amulet necklaces, with shells, coins and talisman motifs signaling a louder, more personal jewelry mood.

The slimmest chains are giving way to something with weight. For spring 2026, amulet necklaces have emerged as the clearest jewelry shift, replacing barely-there gold with sculptural pendants, shell details and coin-like motifs that read as personal, not precious for preciousness’s sake.
That change lands as part of a larger reset in jewelry. The season’s language is all about self-expression, nostalgia and optimism, with geometric interplays, sinuous lines, chunky volumes and irreverent statement pieces pushing past the polished minimalism that has dominated for years. Even the pearls felt different this time, less prim and more heirloom-like, as if borrowed from a grandmother’s box and updated for a sharper wardrobe. Buyers in Paris described the season as a reset centered on design, craftsmanship and creativity, which explains why substantial, symbol-laden jewelry suddenly feels right again.
The amulet story also has commercial momentum behind it. In August 2025, Pandora launched its Talisman campaign with Tyla fronting the collection, a move that marked a departure from the brand’s familiar charm language. Berta de Pablos-Barbier called it “a bold new era for us,” and the line makes that point plainly with ancient coin-inspired pieces, Latin inscriptions and motifs meant to signal resilience, guidance and inner strength. Pandora said the collection spans necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets, and is crafted in 100 percent recycled silver, with some styles rendered in sterling silver, 14-karat gold plating and mixed metals, plus manmade mother-of-pearl.
That combination of symbolism and polish is exactly why amulet necklaces feel current rather than costume. The look has a ’90s undertone, but it is not a nostalgia exercise. It is a sharper, more directional answer to the demand for jewelry that says something the moment it hits the skin. The message for spring 2026 is clear: delicate is out of steam, and the new luxury gesture is visible, symbolic and meant to be noticed.
