Nike Brings Back Air Max 90 Infrared Reflective for Spring 2026
Nike is reissuing the Air Max 90 "Infrared Reflective" (SKU IU1055-100) with 3M reflective uppers at a $150 MSRP, with region-first drops in Asia and at atmos Tokyo before a wider Nike.com rollout.

Nike is bringing back the Air Max 90 "Infrared Reflective" as a Spring 2026 release, carrying SKU IU1055-100 and a $150 retail price. Outlets report the relaunch keeps the signature White, Grey, Black and Infrared 23 palette while adding reflective 3M treatments and swapping the original mesh base for updated materialations.
Design descriptions vary across the coverage but the reflective treatment is consistent. Highsnobiety writes "the 2026 Air Max 90 sneakers are said to feature reflective 3M details, making these bold icons stand out even in the dark," and adds that "Nike has replaced the mesh base layers with more leather for an even sleeker revival of the sneaker." Hypebeast’s product notes call out "light grey suede overlays resting above a sharp black leather mudguard" and add that "the traditional mesh on the toe box, collar, and heel has been replaced with dark grey synthetic panels," while also highlighting Infrared accents on eyelets and tongue branding. Sneakernews describes "the base is made from reflective white leather as opposed to mesh, and the quarter opts for a different, hairier type of grey suede," and signals that some collectors may bristle at the changes with the line "Air Max purists might channel Don Corleone with a 'look at how they massacred my boy' sort of response to these, and that’s probably fair criticism."
Release timing is region-first with a wider Nike.com drop expected later, but dates are inconsistent across reports. Sneakernews lists an Asia release on January 15, 2026 and says the model is "expected to land stateside at a later date." Highsnobiety lists an atmos Tokyo drop scheduled for February 23 and says a wider launch should follow on Nike's website. Hypebeast and Houseofheat frame the roll out more generally as Spring 2026. Nikestore US appears in release trackers as a standard retail channel for the wider launch, while atmos Tokyo is named for an early overseas allocation.

Commercial signals are already visible in the marketplace. Reseller pre-order pages show markup well above the $150 MSRP, with listings on Soleseriouss starting around $250 to $260 for pre-orders. Houseofheat even frames the drop with editorial skepticism, noting it "won't be OG as promised, as the release is expected to feature a fully-reflective 3M overlay set," and assigning the item a site "Heat 94.90°" rating.
This reissue ties back to the Air Max 90’s origins: the original "Infrared" debuted in 1990 under Tinker Hatfield and the silhouette marked its 35th anniversary in recent seasons, with the last notable Infrared retro arriving in 2020. Given the SKU IU1055-100, $150 MSRP, and the early-region drops plus visible reseller markup, expect demand and selective allocations when the shoe finally lands on Nike.com and Nikestore US.
