Zimmermann has its first new CEO in more than two decades. Roberto Eggs, a former Moncler Group executive and board member, will take the helm of the Australian luxury label on May 1, succeeding Chris Olliver, who has held the position since 2005.

Olliver is not leaving the building. He transitions to executive chairman, where he will continue supporting long-term strategy alongside cofounders Nicky Zimmermann and Simone Zimmermann. That arrangement keeps the brand's founding creative vision anchored at the top while freeing up day-to-day operational control for a CEO whose resume spans some of the biggest names in global luxury.

Eggs' career reads like a masterclass in premium brand architecture. Before Moncler, where he accumulated more than a decade of leadership experience including a board seat, he served as president of the EMEIA region at Louis Vuitton, overseeing Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, one of the brand's most commercially significant geographies. Earlier still, he held senior roles at the Nestle Group and Nespresso. He also sits on the board of directors of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, a position he was named to in January. Critically, he has been a Zimmermann board member for more than a year, meaning this is not a cold hire: he has already been working closely with the founders and leadership team through a period of sustained global growth.

"Zimmermann represents a rare combination of creative integrity and commercial strength," Eggs said upon the announcement. "It is a privilege to take on the role of CEO and to work alongside Nicky, Simone and Chris to guide the next chapter of the company's evolution."

Olliver, for his part, framed the hire as a vote of confidence in what the brand has already built. "His leadership record speaks for itself, and his decision to join is a powerful endorsement of what our team has built and the opportunity ahead," he said.

Nicky Zimmermann, who continues as chief creative officer and cofounder, pointed to brand identity as the throughline. "From the beginning, our focus has been on building a brand with a distinct point of view and a lasting emotional connection," she said. "Roberto brings global perspective and a deep appreciation for brand building, and I look forward to shaping the future of Zimmermann together."

The transition positions Zimmermann with a leadership structure designed for scale: a CEO with deep luxury-sector commercial experience, an executive chairman who engineered the brand's global rise, and two founders holding the creative core steady. Eggs officially steps in on May 1.
