Sperry and Aritzia teamed up for the third time on two new shoe styles for spring: a lugged boat shoe and a slim jogger. The partnership, which has become one of the more reliable sell-out stories in accessible fashion, landed this week with two silhouettes that lean into different corners of the current footwear conversation.

The first time the brands debuted refreshed takes on two of Sperry's legendary boat shoes was March 2025; almost instantly, the elevated models sold out, prompting the two partners to drop even more styles that same summer, right in time for the fisherman aesthetic's boom. The second drop was supported by a Design Bar event at Aritzia's SoHo flagship on August 6, which generated over 206,000 social impressions. For 2026, the formula has been refined rather than reinvented.

The collaborators have already unveiled a 2-Eye Boat Shoe last year, but this 2026 update, priced at $155, outfits the bestseller with a lug sole, now allowing it to offer superior grip and stability on every kind of surface, whether you're hopping on a yacht or running to work. Being significantly chunkier than the Slim Jogger, the Lug Boat Shoe further distinguishes itself through Sperry's 360-Degree Lacing System for a secure fit all around your foot and moccasin stitching, giving it a vintage-coded, lived-in quality. The nubuck leather upper picks up on the suede-forward texture story that has been circulating across footwear since last spring, and the updated colorways push it further from its purely nautical origins.

The Slim Jogger enters at a particularly well-timed moment, given that recent rollouts like Vivaia's Cristina Sneakerina and legacy kicks like Puma's made-for-motorsports Speedcat, both apt representatives of the so-called "slim sneaker epidemic," are being spotted on celebrities and everyday tastemakers alike in 2026. Despite its impressively airy feel and low-pro build, the Slim Jogger boasts enhanced traction on the outsole and an EVA-cushioned midsole, with every iteration priced at $140.

Rather than passing on sharp increases mid-season from tariff pressures, Sperry modestly raised U.S. retail prices by $5 to $10 per pair while keeping Canadian prices flat. That kind of pricing discipline, combined with Aritzia's track record of selling through inventory quickly, suggests the 2026 drop will follow the same arc as its predecessors.

On the runways, the nautical footwear made waves everywhere from JW Anderson to The Row, Miu Miu, and Loewe, popping up in leather, suede, and canvas styles. Aritzia and Sperry have managed to distill that runway energy into something priced for a broader audience, and the lug sole addition signals that the boat shoe, at least in their hands, is no longer content to stay dockside.
