Pignatelli Opens 700-Square-Metre Milan Atelier in the Navigli District
Pignatelli doubled its Milan footprint with a 700-square-metre Via Fusetti headquarters, unveiling 35 archive-rooted looks under new creative director Jean-Luc Amsler.

Pignatelli committed 700 square metres to its next chapter on 19 March, opening a new headquarters on Via Fusetti in Milan's Navigli district that doubles the brand's previous showroom and simultaneously staging the debut of Pignatelli Atelier, its Fall/Winter 2026–27 line, through an exclusive performance.
The new facility consolidates what had been a split operation into a single address: showrooms and executive offices now occupy the same space, positioning the Via Fusetti building as the brand's operational and strategic hub within what the company describes as the main centre of the Italian fashion system. The move represents more than a change of address. Owner Francesco Gianfala framed the dual announcement in explicitly international terms: "We are strengthening the company's structure and expanding our creative vision with the aim of consolidating the brand's international positioning, while remaining firmly rooted in the values of Made in Italy and sartorial tradition."
The collection itself arrived as fog rolled across the runway, an atmospheric choice that suited the 35 looks Jean-Luc Amsler sent out as his opening statement under the Atelier banner. Amsler has rooted the line in direct dialogue with the Maison's historical archive, reinterpreting traditional garments and constructions rather than discarding them. The result alternates sculptural volumes with fluid silhouettes, and couture-weighted pieces with quieter essentials, all oriented toward what the brand calls a contemporary and conscious femininity. Tailoring, experimentation, and upcycling practices run through the collection as a unified methodology rather than separate gestures.

On the runway, the range in register was striking. A black fur wrap paired with a satin skirt and bold jewelry sat in the same collection as a sheer bodysuit with trousers and a statement necklace. A black corset with a sheer veil hat gave way to a textured dress worn with a headpiece and oversized glasses, each look moving through the low fog. An olive gown worn with long gloves closed the picture: formal, considered, and unhurried.
For Pignatelli, the Navigli address is a calculated repositioning. The Navigli district, long associated with Milan's creative and artisanal trades, gives the brand a foothold outside the more saturated luxury corridors of the quadrilatero della moda. At over 700 square metres and roughly twice its predecessor in scale, the new headquarters gives Amsler's Atelier line physical space to grow into, and Gianfala the operational infrastructure to pursue the international expansion he has now publicly committed to.
