Birkenstock and Faherty Launch Wire Buckle Arizona and Boston Sandals for Spring
Birkenstock and Faherty debuted the Wire Buckle Arizona ($149.95) and Boston ($174.95) in nubuck leather, available exclusively at Birkenstock, Faherty, and Nordstrom.

Birkenstock and Faherty launched a spring capsule collection built around a single piece of redesigned hardware: the Wire Buckle, a brushed-metal update to Birkenstock's signature clasp that evolves the brand's classic fastening into what Footwear News described as "a sculptural brushed-metal form with softened edges and an industrial finish." Faherty's own framing is more restrained, calling it "a minimalist update to Birkenstock's signature hardware, refined in shape and slightly larger in scale for a cleaner, more modern profile." The distinction between those two descriptions captures what makes this collaboration interesting: one brand brings the utilitarian bones, the other brings a surfer-adjacent ease, and the buckle sits exactly at the intersection.
The hardware appears across two of Birkenstock's core silhouettes: the Arizona sandal, priced at $149.95, and the Boston clog at $174.95. Both styles are crafted in smooth, premium nubuck leather and grounded by Birkenstock's contoured cork footbed. Two colorways are available: a creamy neutral called Sandcastle and a classic Black. The limited-edition styles are sold exclusively in-store and online through Birkenstock, Faherty, and Nordstrom.
Faherty positions the collection around a specific kind of person: "Seen through the lives of chefs, artists, surfers, and makers, this collection celebrates a shared lifestyle shaped by creativity and time outdoors." The brand supports the footwear with a curated selection of its own apparel, including the Short Sleeve Breeze Shirt, Short Sleeve Oasis Shirt, Sunwashed Pocket Tee, and Linen Drawstring Pant — pieces designed to wear together as a complete warm-weather wardrobe rather than as standalone additions.

At those price points, the Birkenstock x Faherty styles sit comfortably within the range of considered spring gifts: specific enough to feel intentional, practical enough to wear daily. The Sandcastle colorway in particular has the kind of quiet, goes-with-everything appeal that tends to make a gift feel more thought-through than it may have been.
The Faherty drop comes just weeks after Birkenstock released a separate spring capsule with Staud, which reimagined the Arizona Big Buckle and Madrid Big Buckle sandals with raffia construction, gold hardware, and a new Carafe hue designed to channel Los Angeles city-to-surf energy. That collection leaned decorative; the Faherty collaboration leans lived-in. Two capsules, two very different moods — Birkenstock's spring 2026 strategy appears to be covering as much aesthetic ground as possible before summer.
