BDO Cayman Pickleball Invitational Raises CI$15,000 for Cayman ARK with Industry Support
BDO Cayman’s 6 February tournament at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club brought more than 200 finance professionals from nearly 40 firms and raised CI$15,000 for Cayman ARK.

BDO Cayman’s 2026 Annual Pickleball Invitational Championship, held Friday 6 February at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club, raised CI$15,000 for Cayman ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) after a day that brought together more than 200 professionals from nearly 40 firms across the islands’ financial services sector. All proceeds from the day were donated to Cayman ARK, a Cayman-based organisation that supports individuals and families in need.
Organised by BDO Cayman and now in its fourth year, the tournament drew teams and players from asset management, insurance, corporate recovery, liquidation and insolvency firms, reflecting the event’s place on the industry calendar. Organisers said the invitational “offered participants a chance to enjoy some friendly competition, give back to the local community and network with other professionals,” combining workplace networking with on-court play.
The day included local hospitality and vendor support that helped drive fundraising. Food was provided by Carnivore, full bar service was supported by Jacques Scott, music came from DJ Antoine, and BodyWorks delivered complimentary on-site recovery sessions and massage support throughout the day. BDO Cayman thanked the Cayman Islands Tennis Club and the many raffle prize donors whose contributions boosted fundraising efforts, as well as the participants, volunteers and supporters who staffed and filled the courts.
On the competitive side, Walkers law firm emerged as the 2026 champions, claiming the tournament trophy in a field representing the island’s financial services community. Richard Horton, partner at BDO Cayman, reflected on the turnout and the charity result: “We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us on the day from across the financial services industry, and we’re delighted that with their support, the funds raised from the event will help make a real difference in our local community.”
Cayman ARK acknowledged receipt of the donation via social media, saying “We are truly grateful to BDO Cayman for their annual pickleball event and their incredibly generous CI$15,000 donation to ARK Cayman.” The organisation’s stated mission is to support individuals and families in need, and event organisers said that raffle proceeds and overall event entry revenue combined to generate the CI$15,000 total.

BDO Cayman closed its post-event messaging with thanks and a look ahead, saying it “would like to thank all participants, volunteers and supporters for coming together to make the 2026 Pickleball Invitational Championship another resounding success, and looks forward to welcoming everyone back to the courts in 2027.” The tournament’s mix of sport, socialising and fundraising underlined its growth into a fixture for Cayman’s financial services community.
