Greystone Pickleball Club Opens in Michigan, Blending Dining and Play
Michigan's newest pickleball destination opens today in Auburn Hills, pairing 17 courts with a full-service kitchen, bar, and luxury locker rooms at 900 N. Opdyke Rd.

Auburn Hills has a new address for pickleball players who want more than just a court to stand on. Greystone Pickleball Club, a more than 60,000-square-foot indoor facility at 900 N. Opdyke Rd., throws open its doors today with a grand opening celebration running from noon to 4:00 p.m. EDT, bringing together dine-in restaurant service, a full-service bar, and dedicated indoor courts under one roof.
The club's grand opening is the culmination of a project that earned Auburn Hills City Council approval back on April 15, 2024, when the council greenlit the site plan for the 4.7-acre parcel on the east side of Opdyke Road, just north of Featherstone Road. Getting the building off the ground was no small feat: the property carries what city materials described as "a rather unusual configuration," and soil conditions required special and more expensive footings and foundations. An incentive grant from the Auburn Hills Tax Increment Finance Authority ultimately made the economics viable for the owners.
For Michigan players, the indoor setup is a direct answer to one of the sport's most persistent local frustrations. As City Manager Thomas A. Tanghe noted when the project was approved, the state simply doesn't enjoy twelve months of sunshine the way Florida does, and an indoor venue like Greystone solves the problem of a limited outdoor playing season. The facility is designed to operate year-round, giving players a reliable place to rally through January thaws and March sleet alike.
On the amenities side, Greystone goes well beyond painted court lines. The chamber's promotional materials list luxury locker rooms, a fully stocked pro shop, and a juice bar alongside the full-service kitchen and bar. The club is positioning itself as a venue for friendly recreational play, skill development, and professional-level tournaments. There is a minor discrepancy in the court count between source documents: city materials from 2024 cited eighteen courts, while chamber listings describe seventeen. The club itself should clarify the final figure once operations begin.

Today's grand opening activities include refreshments, facility tours, and open play. The club's stated mission frames it as "a cornerstone of community, wellness, and play, a place where every serve sparks connection, every rally builds confidence, and every guest feels like family." Auburn Hills officials have also flagged the facility as a future venue for special events in the city, adding another dimension beyond competitive and recreational pickleball.
For anyone planning to head out today, the club is at 900 N. Opdyke Rd., Auburn Hills, MI 48326, and the celebration runs through 4:00 p.m.
