Pickleball Play 365 is turning its 8 indoor courts in Mentor into a workplace wellness sell, rolling out Preferred Corporate Pickleball Memberships after companies like Park Place Tech, Nissan of Mentor, Avery Dennison and STERIS already used the facility for outings, weekly leagues and instruction.

The indoor club, at 8001 Moving Way in Mentor, opened in June 2024 and is heading toward its second anniversary in July. That short run matters because the corporate move is not coming from a mature legacy gym model. It is coming from a pickleball venue that has already proven employers will show up for a sport that is social, low-impact and easy to use after work without needing a full training plan.

The new package goes well beyond court time. Employers can give staff discounted memberships, a free introductory class, a discounted beginner program, lower hourly fees, reduced league pricing, retail discounts, flexible access, company-only open-play sessions and preferred scheduling for rentals and events. The idea is to make the perk simple for employers and welcoming for employees, while giving the club a repeatable business line instead of treating company play as a one-off booking.

That strategy fits the building itself. Pickleball Play 365 describes the space as a premium indoor facility with four-sided ball containment, cushioned surfaces, LED sports lighting, a premier center court and a 30-foot ceiling. It uses Court Reserve for scheduling and payments, and its programming already runs from open play and reserved courts to lessons, clinics, leagues, tournaments, youth programs and themed events. Beginner leagues run for 4 weeks and cost $30, while group play runs $80 per group, or $10 per player, plus membership.

The corporate push also grows out of local pickleball history. The club says Mike Murphy helped bring pickleball to Mentor around 2011 and 2012, and that Brian Murphy and Bob Martin helped convert Mentor Civic tennis courts into pickleball courts. The Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce now lists Pickleball Play 365 as a place for team building, corporate events, group plays and parties, which is a long way from a few converted tennis courts.

For amateur pickleball, that is the real signal here. Pickleball Play 365 is not just selling access to courts. It is selling a workplace habit, one that can pull employees into the same hour-long session, keep costs predictable and turn after-hours play into something closer to a company culture perk than a casual hobby.
