Inner West Council Libraries Offer Free Youth Bath Bomb Workshop in Balmain
Inner West Council Libraries held a free two-hour bath bomb making workshop at Balmain Library on March 22, open to teens aged 12–18.

Balmain Library hosted a free Bath Bomb Making Workshop last Sunday, bringing together teenagers aged 12 to 18 for two hours of hands-on crafting at the community library situated in the historic Balmain Town Hall building on Darling Street.
Organised by Inner West Council Libraries, the session ran from 1:00 PM and gave participants direct, practical instruction in making colorful, fragrant bath bombs from scratch. The format was entirely hands-on: no lectures, no slideshows, just working with the materials.
The workshop sat within Inner West Council Libraries' broader youth program slate, which has covered everything from architectural sketching and design fundamentals to dumpling making, pasta making, and Shibori fabric dyeing across its library network. The bath bomb session reflected that same appetite for craft-based, skill-building programming aimed squarely at the 12–18 age bracket.
The Eventbrite collection housing the listing, titled "Youth events and programs," runs well beyond a single craft afternoon. Coming sessions include a portrait painting workshop with a life model for 14 to 18-year-olds on April 8, a textile print design workshop on April 9, an art critics toolkit session for Year 9 and 10 Visual Arts students also on April 9, and a Tabletop Games session for Dungeons and Dragons players on April 18. A documentary filmmaking workshop, "The Craft of Video Essays," is set for April 19, and a TikTok web series creation session is scheduled for April 11. Every listed event in the collection carries a free admission tag.
The breadth of the lineup, from HSC exam prep workshops in Legal Studies and Health and Movement Science to collage-making for environmental advocacy under the banner "Voices for Nature," points to a library system that has positioned itself as a genuine after-school creative hub rather than a study hall with better Wi-Fi.
Buses 433 and 445 both service Balmain Library, and general street parking is available in the surrounding streets. Full details on upcoming youth sessions are listed through Inner West Council Libraries on Eventbrite.
