Natural Grocers Gives Away Free Bath Bombs for Mother’s Day Shoppers
Natural Grocers will hand out free bath bombs to the first 50 Mother’s Day shoppers at each store, pairing the giveaway with member discounts and body-care savings.

Natural Grocers is turning Mother’s Day into a body-care traffic play, and bath bombs sit right at the center of it. From May 8 to May 10, the Lakewood, Colorado-based retailer will run a celebration at all 170 stores in 21 states, framing the weekend around gratitude, connection and everyday care while handing out a free Natural Grocers Brand bath bomb to the first 50 shoppers who visit each store’s body care department on May 8.
The giveaway is built for impulse and gift baskets. Those first 50 customers will also get a limited-edition beauty bag filled with sample products, while the next 100 shoppers at each store will receive a Mystery Discount Coupon and a reusable beauty bag. One lucky customer per store will win a $100 Natural Grocers gift card during the beauty-bag giveaway, giving the promotion an extra layer of urgency beyond the bath bomb itself. Natural Grocers says {N}power members can save up to 48 percent on select Mother’s Day specials, and the free loyalty program adds a $2 reward for every $200 spent, which helps explain why the retailer is tying the event so tightly to member-only shopping.

For bath bomb shoppers, the product positioning is the most telling part. Natural Grocers says its bath bombs are made in the U.S., crafted in small batches, and formulated without artificial fragrances or colors. The formula includes sweet almond and jojoba oils plus natural vitamin E, and the bombs are marketed as gluten free, non-GMO and vegan. That checks several boxes now common in the bath bomb aisle, where ingredient transparency and a cleaner label matter as much as scent or color. A Natural Grocers product page showing the Wildflower Bath Bomb in stock at 167 stores also suggests the item is not a novelty buried in one regional assortment, but a broadly distributed part of the chain’s personal-care lineup.

The giveaway also fits into a larger push. Natural Grocers is running its sixth annual Body Care & Beauty Bonanza from May 8 to May 30, with savings of up to 26 percent on select body care and beauty products, free gifts, prize giveaways and educational material aimed at cleaner personal care routines. The company says the average adult uses a dozen personal care products each day and may encounter more than 100 chemicals in the process, a message that pairs neatly with a bath bomb sold as a small-batch, giftable indulgence. Together, the Mother’s Day promotion and the broader bonanza show how a bath bomb now works as both an entry-level body-care item and a low-friction gift, especially when a retailer wants to turn wellness into store traffic.
