Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4 roadmap reveals staggered events and mode rotations
Season 4 is a month-plus drip feed of Rebirth Island rotations, collab events, and reward windows, with the free DP27 at Tier 21 as the cleanest launch-day prize.

Launch week sets the tone, but it does not contain the whole season
The biggest trap with Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4 is treating launch day like the only thing that matters. Eternal Prison goes live on April 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM PT, and the real story is how Activision spaces everything out after that: the season rolls in as a staggered calendar of modes, draws, Mythic rewards, and themed events instead of one giant drop. If you log in regularly, that pacing is the advantage. If you only show up once, you will miss most of the value.
The launch package is already loaded. Rebirth Island arrives in both DMZ: Recon and Battle Royale, the season brings a Godzilla x Kong collaboration, the Toxic Overload Battle Royale class, a brand-new Battle Pass, extra Store additions, and multiple events with new rewards. The free-tier DP27 LMG at Tier 21 is the cleanest early progression target in the Battle Pass, because it gives you a concrete reason to push past the first few levels instead of hovering around the opening tiers.
Rebirth Island is the season’s backbone
Everything keeps circling back to Rebirth Island, and that is not an accident. In DMZ: Recon, the map comes with a new extraction mechanism, an opening cutscene, and an explorable Stronghold area. In Battle Royale, it gets UAV Towers, Contracts, and Buy Stations, which makes the island feel like a proper live playlist hub rather than a one-off nostalgia return.
That matters for your daily routine because Rebirth is not just new scenery. It is the connective tissue for the season’s playlists and event cadence, and it is the clearest sign that Eternal Prison is built around repeated returns to the same hotspot. If you want the most practical reason to log in, this is it: the map refresh feeds both the competitive side and the themed event side at once.
The first reward windows worth your time
The season’s earliest window is the one to watch if you care about cosmetics, event progression, or just getting the best value out of short log-ins. The Godzilla x Kong Event runs from April 24 to May 23, which gives you a long runway to chip away at themed rewards without having to no-life the first weekend. That alone makes the crossover more forgiving than the usual blink-and-miss seasonal event.
Right behind it comes a cluster of shorter windows that are worth planning around:
- Rebirth Island Resurgence Battle Royale begins around April 25 and stays active for the rest of the season.
- Operation Rebirth runs from April 25 to May 6.
- Godzilla Draw and Kong Draw both open on April 25.
That April 25 stack is the first real pinch point of the season. If you are going to spend time or COD Points anywhere early, this is the date to watch because it combines the map push, a limited event, and two separate draw offers in the same window. That is also where the season starts to separate the daily log-in crowd from everyone else.
Late-April is the first true grind stretch
Once the April 25 burst passes, the calendar gets denser. Shoot the Ship 24/7 and Soldier of Fortune both run from April 28 to May 4, which is the kind of overlap that makes daily play feel efficient if you are grinding kills, weapon XP, or just trying to stay in constant action. That is one of the few windows where the playlist itself is the reward.
The next pair of dates is more about variety and pace than raw urgency. Kurohana Metropolis runs from April 30 to May 7, while Cache Frenzy stretches from April 30 to May 27. Cache Frenzy is the more important of the two if you like long-tail reward hunting, because it lasts into the back half of the season and gives you a bigger margin for missed days. Kurohana Metropolis, by contrast, is the sort of short rotation you either catch or you do not.
May is where the season starts stacking up
May does not slow down. It starts with the Necrotic Necessity Mythic Drop from May 1 to May 30, which is the kind of premium window that is easy to ignore if you are not chasing Mythic content, but impossible to miss if you are. The same day, Modes Collide runs from May 1 to May 7, which gives the first week of May a strong “check in now or lose the window” feel.
Then the calendar keeps rolling:
- Surprise Skill runs from May 5 to May 11.
- Search & Rescue runs from May 5 to May 11.
- 10 v 10 Rust runs from May 8 to May 14.
- Mother’s Day runs from May 8 to May 31.
- Later in the season, Nock and Hammer and Capture the Flag also rotate in.
If you are deciding what is skippable, this is where the answer becomes personal. Surprise Skill, Search & Rescue, and 10 v 10 Rust are the sort of short rotations that matter most if you actively chase mode variety or want fresh match flow. Mother’s Day is the longer, safer window, so it is easier to fit into a busy schedule. The later rotations are the insurance policy for anyone who misses the earlier grind periods.
What actually matters if you log in every day
The smartest way to approach Eternal Prison is to think in layers. The first layer is launch day, where the DP27 Tier 21 unlock and the Rebirth Island rollout matter most. The second layer is the short, high-pressure windows around April 25, April 28, and April 30, where playlists and draws overlap and the calendar tightens. The third layer is the long tail in May, where Mythic content and recurring events keep the season alive well past the first week.
That structure is what makes Season 4 different from a basic launch-and-forget cycle. Activision has effectively turned Rebirth Island into a seasonal spine, and the global rollout, with official announcement posts in Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Chinese, makes the cadence feel built for a broad, live audience rather than a single launch spike. If you play COD Mobile regularly, this is a season that rewards showing up often, not just showing up early.
