Call of Duty update re-enables ranked forfeits, fixes Zombies bugs
Ranked forfeits are back in Multiplayer, but Warzone Ranked stays locked down as Season 03 Reloaded also patches Totenreich blockers and trims late-game loot.

The biggest change in tonight’s Season 03 Reloaded update hits Ranked immediately: Forfeit is back in Multiplayer Ranked Play after Raven Software and Treyarch pulled it when timed votes were being used to dodge intended SR losses. Warzone Ranked Play still keeps Forfeit disabled, and prematch rejoin stays off there too, because the competitive side of the ladder is still being treated like a place where every loss has to land.
Outside Ranked, the quality-of-life fix that matters most is Prematch Rejoin. It is now enabled in all standard playlists, and if you crash or disconnect before deployment, rejoin availability can carry you all the way through the end of the match, including final-circle situations. Treyarch and Raven also added a five-minute cleanup-protection window for weapons dropped on death, so loot does not disappear the second a body hits the floor.

Warzone’s economy keeps getting squeezed. The final gas circle now removes Stim, Self-Revive, and Portable Decontamination Station ground loot, which cuts down on the last-team sustain that can drag out endgames. Fire Sale prices also moved, with Armor Plates set at $200 and Grappling Hooks at $300, while common cash piles increased from $250 to $300. That lands on top of the broader Season 03 tuning pass that already reduced the match economy, lowered contract rewards, cut Legendary Supply Box perk drops from 100 percent to 60 percent with a one-perk cap, and reduced Armor Satchel drop rates by 6 percent.
Deadeye Drone also took another hit, dropping from 40 total health to 20. That nerf follows the earlier restriction on the item while developers dealt with a related issue, and it fits the same late-game cleanup pass that has been pushing less cash, fewer perks, and fewer easy resets.
Zombies players got a cleaner Totenreich too. The patch fixed the Final Encounter ice-wall bug, stopped Rocket Relic from blocking progress in the Totenreich Main Quest, and addressed claw-machine completion problems, leaving the playspace, gun shaking in a side quest, and a string of visual and cutscene issues. Treyarch also patched the gnome helmet cost and respawn behavior, frozen ascender visibility, and a Siren Prestige Attachment bug.
Multiplayer rounded out the update with smaller but useful fixes, including the Touch Grass Dark Ops Challenge tracking correctly again, better Safeguard Best Play information, and a warning for incompatible mode and map selections in private matches. The through line is obvious: Ranked got its escape hatch back where it belongs, while the rest of the patch keeps tightening the screws on Warzone and clearing the worst blockers in Zombies.
