Team Heretics has turned its Esports World Cup push into a broader statement, adding a Warzone roster built around Zepa_COD, auAWBZ and TeenieJC_ while expanding into five titles at once. That matters because Warzone is no longer being treated like a side pursuit in the EWC ecosystem. It is part of a points race that rewards clubs for spreading across games and finishing at the top in more than one competition.

The timing is the story here. The Esports World Cup is scheduled for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 6 to August 23, 2026, and club performance carries real weight. In 2025, the Club Championship paid out $27 million total, with $7 million going to first place. The rules are even tighter than the prize pool sounds: a club has to finish top eight in at least two competitions to be eligible, and it must win at least one competition to be in line to claim the overall Club Championship.

That is exactly why a Warzone roster makes sense for Heretics now. Warzone has already been part of the EWC slate, including in 2025, so the title comes with established prestige inside the event and a clearer path for a club trying to stack points across multiple scenes. Heretics is not just filling a roster slot. It is buying into a game that already fits the EWC structure and can help turn a broad esports footprint into club championship leverage.

The move also matches the way Team Heretics is presenting itself beyond competition. The org describes itself as the most followed Spanish-speaking esports and entertainment team in the world, and its official shop is already selling 2026 merchandise, including a Miami Heretics jersey tied to its Call of Duty League franchise. That gives this Warzone signing extra weight. It is part of a brand-wide push, not a one-off roster announcement.

Zepa_COD, auAWBZ and TeenieJC_ now enter a setup where every title matters, every placement can feed the club standings, and every roster addition changes the balance of the field. With EWC 2026 headed back to Riyadh and the club race still built to reward depth, Heretics has made its position clear: Warzone is worth investing in like a championship lane, not a novelty pickup.
