Lost Outpost event goes live in Black Ops 7 and Warzone with free rewards
Lost Outpost went live with more than 25 free rewards, and the 20-Beacon tier unlocks the Strider 300 sniper rifle before the April 23 deadline.

Lost Outpost landed in Black Ops 7 and Warzone on April 7 after an early launch forced Treyarch to move the event up, following a store bundle that exposed the Strider 300 sniper rifle blueprint before the planned kickoff. It now runs through April 23, giving players a little over two weeks to work through one of Season 3’s biggest free reward tracks.
The event is built around Beacons, and the in-game pitch is blunt about the goal: “Bring the abandoned JSOC outpost back online. Search the area for Beacons and activate them to request Care Packages with supplies.” Those Beacons drop through normal play in Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Warzone, which makes Lost Outpost feel less like a one-off challenge and more like a live seasonal grind that follows you across modes.
What makes the track worth paying attention to is the size of the payout. Several guides put the reward list at more than 25 items, with the early tiers filled out by the usual event padding, stickers, emblems, decals and XP tokens. That stuff is fine, but it is not the reason to keep checking the event page. The meaningful prizes start showing up when the rewards shift into charms, calling cards and loading screens, and the big chase item is the 20-Beacon tier that unlocks the Strider 300 sniper rifle.
That sniper reward matters because it is the clearest gameplay payoff in the whole event. Everything before it is mostly cosmetic or progression fuel, while the Strider 300 at least gives players something tangible to unlock by simply staying active. The mastery animated camo sitting at the top end makes the event feel like a proper seasonal ladder instead of a throwaway bonus drop, especially with Season 3 having started on April 2 and Lost Outpost arriving as part of that broader live-service rollout.
The result is a fairly generous event, but only if you actually play it. Lost Outpost does not hand out its best stuff for logging in once and walking away. It asks for repeated play across the core modes, and the fastest path is the simplest one: keep collecting Beacons, spend them through the tiered care packages, and push toward the Strider 300 before April 23 closes the window.
