Warzone Mobile servers shut down, ending Call of Duty battle royale spin-off
Warzone Mobile went fully offline on April 17, 2026, and the game can no longer be played. The shutdown closes a year-long wind-down that began with store removal in May 2025.

Warzone Mobile went dark on April 17, 2026, and the game can no longer be played. CharlieINTEL confirmed the shutdown, which Activision said was the final step in previously announced service changes.
The end was not sudden. Before the game was removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play in May 2025, Activision had already stopped delivering new seasonal content and gameplay updates, discontinued social features, and ended in-app purchases using real currency. During that wind-down, players could still spend existing COD Point balances in the in-game store, but that last bit of activity is gone now that the servers are offline.
That makes the shutdown the cleanest possible end to a mobile experiment that launched with real franchise weight. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile went live worldwide on March 21, 2024, after a limited release period and a feedback-driven optimization pass. Activision pushed the launch with Operation: Day Zero and cross-progression tied to Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III on console and PC, which made the mobile version feel like part of the same ecosystem instead of a side project.
Activision also kept tightening the hardware floor as the game evolved. Effective November 14, 2024, the minimum requirements rose to iOS 17 or Android 13 or higher, plus device GPUs capable of bindless texturing. That change told you where the game was headed: more demanding, more specific, and less forgiving to older phones that could not keep up.
Even as the service was being pared back, Activision’s support pages and in-app support tools stayed live through the shutdown period, underscoring how formal the exit was. The company thanked the community and developers as it pulled the plug. With the servers offline, the store listing gone, and no playability left behind, Warzone Mobile has moved from flagship mobile extension to finished chapter in Call of Duty’s free-to-play lineup.
