Alicante Catamaran Launches 2026 Season on April 4 from Costa Blanca
The Aventurero set sail from Alicante port on April 4 with a hard cap of 62 passengers, launching three Costa Blanca routes including a 6-hour Tabarca run.

The Aventurero, Alicante Catamaran's maxi catamaran, opened its 2026 season from the port of Alicante on Saturday, April 4, putting three distinct routes back on the water just opposite the Explanada de España. The operator described the relaunch as the result of months of preparation, maintenance, and fleet upgrades, and the schedule that emerged is detailed enough to book around immediately.
The flagship route remains the full-day sail to Tabarca Island, running Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm for six hours at sea. Adults pay €72; children aged 4 to 12 pay €42. The route terminates at Spain's first officially designated marine reserve, where a homemade menu sourced directly from Casa Gloria, a local Tabarca Island restaurant, is delivered to the boat. That arrangement, a named island supplier ferrying food out by boat rather than a generic catered box, sets the culinary experience apart from most charter-fleet competitors along this stretch of coast.
For shorter outings, the Sail & Coast excursion covers three hours of Costa Blanca coastline departing Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 am or 3:00 pm, and Saturdays at 10:30 am or 2:00 pm. Adults pay €42, children €27. The sunset cruise, priced at €32 for adults and €21 for children, shifts its departure time between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm depending on the calendar date and includes live music from a local musician aboard.
Every excursion includes unlimited water, soft drinks, and juices; one glass of cava, beer, wine, or tinto de verano; welcome fruit; and free use of snorkel masks and fins, with swimming supervised by an onboard lifeguard.

Here is where the Aventurero's maxi-catamaran format matters practically. The wide beam translates directly to usable deck space: full sunbathing nets forward, shaded seating amidships, and an onboard bar that doesn't require passengers to squeeze past each other. The hard capacity ceiling of 62 passengers, enforced to comply with Merchant Marine safety regulations, is the most concrete differentiator from the larger ferry services that work the same coastline. On the standard Tabarca ferry you share the deck with a crowd; on the Aventurero, 62 is the legal and operational maximum regardless of demand. The twin hulls also deliver the stability that makes the nets and open deck genuinely usable even for passengers who are not committed sailors.
A 10% group discount applies to bookings of 10 or more people, children included, through May 17 as part of the operator's low-season offer. Private charters are also available for the full 62-person capacity for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations. The season runs through mid-October, with a second low-season window from September 14 to October 18.
