Fountaine Pajot Unveils Samana 59 ODSea+ Electric Cruiser at Miami
Fountaine Pajot showed the Samana 59 ODSea+ all-electric at the Miami International Boat Show on Feb 17, 2026, featuring 42 m² of solar panels and a battery system billed for true 100% electric cruising.

Fountaine Pajot unveiled the Samana 59 in an ODSea+ all-electric configuration at the Miami International Boat Show on Feb 17, 2026, marking the model’s North American debut; dealers and owners should note first ODSea+ Samana 59 deliveries are already scheduled for early 2026. The Miami appearance positioned the Samana 59 as a production-ready expression of the yard’s electrification push rather than a one-off prototype.
Atlantic-cruising framed the Samana 59 ODSea+ as a step toward “zero-emission cruising without compromise,” and the boat’s energy management is described as a smart system that “automatically prioritizes solar generation, monitors battery health, and optimizes power distribution across all onboard systems.” Catamarans‑fountaine‑pajot supplies concrete specification figures that back that claim: an on‑board battery listed as 60 kWh, a solar array footprint of 42 m² and photovoltaic capacity of 8,500 W, and a hydraulic energy function similar to the Aura 51 Smart Electric that supports autonomy at anchor and during several hours of sailing.
The ODSea+ package is augmented by renewable regeneration systems. Yachtsalesco reports dual-propeller hydro-regeneration producing up to 1 kW per propeller at an average speed of 8 knots, and stern-mounted wind turbines adding roughly 600 watts day or night. Yachtsalesco also notes that ODSea+ is being offered across five sailing models, the New 41, New 44, Elba 45, Aura 51 and Samana 59, positioning the platform as a dealer-level option rather than a single-model experiment.
Commercial uptake is already visible in Asia Pacific. The Yacht Sales Co., represented by Greg Boller, says its network was first to sell ODSea+ fitted yachts to private live-aboard owners, including an Aura 51 and an Astrea 42, and confirms the first ODSea+ Samana 59 was sold to a private buyer in Thailand with delivery scheduled for early 2026. Greg Boller summarized the market signal bluntly: “Fountaine Pajot has set a new benchmark for responsible cruising with ODSea+.”

The yard’s hydrogen work remains a parallel track. The Samana 59 Smart Electric x REXH2 prototype was shown in a webcast and public events in 2023, including an April 8, 2023 presentation in Paris and a demonstration in the port of La Rochelle where EODev showcased its marinized REXH2 unit. EODev quoted Mathieu FOUNTAINE and Romain MOTTEAU saying, “The Samana 59 Smart Electric REXH2® is more than a vision. It is a prototype that today shows the group’s ability to be very innovative and to imagine the long-term transition that we want, as part of our Odyssea 2024 strategic plan, and gives substance to our ambition to reach carbon neutrality by 2030, whether for the production of boats or their use.” EODev describes REXH2 as aimed mainly at hotel load and short-range propulsion, with a backup generator provided for prolonged engine use.
If you follow Fountaine Pajot’s electrification roadmap, the immediate takeaways are concrete: the Miami-shown Samana 59 ODSea+ offers a production-grade, integrated solar-battery-energy-management stack with measurable regen figures, dealers report first Samana 59 ODSea+ deliveries in early 2026, and the yard is simultaneously advancing hydrogen REXH2 prototypes as a future option.
