The Lagoon 380 was, for more than a decade, the best-selling catamaran in the world, beloved for its simplicity, reliability, and clever use of space. That legacy now has a successor. TMG Yachts will unveil the Southern Hemisphere premiere of the all-new Lagoon 38 at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. The show takes place 21-24 May at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

The Lagoon 38 builds on the legacy of the iconic Lagoon 380 and the modern Lagoon 40, carrying that heritage forward while delivering refined living spaces, improved sailing performance, and thoughtful design updates tailored for modern cruising. The hull driving that performance claim is constructed using Lagoon's advanced infusion moulding process, producing what the builder describes as a lightweight yet strong structure.

"The Lagoon 38 represents the next evolution in compact cruising catamarans," said Joe Fox, TMG Yachts Lagoon Manager. "It brings together the space, comfort, and reliability that Lagoon owners love, while introducing new design improvements that make life on board even more enjoyable."

Below decks, the interior leans hard into natural light. Designed as a 38-foot sailing catamaran that prioritises comfort, simplicity, and exploration, the Lagoon 38 offers an ideal platform for everything from family weekends on the water to extended coastal adventures. Large vertical windows and expansive portholes flood the saloon with light, creating what Lagoon describes as a spacious atmosphere rarely seen in this size category. A forward-positioned galley maintains strong sightlines between the saloon and cockpit, keeping the cook connected to the action on deck. The main cabin carries a private ensuite and generous storage, with additional guest cabins rounding out the accommodation plan.

The exterior is equally considered. Wide transom steps give safe, easy water access, and a forward cockpit adds a dedicated lounge area separate from the main cockpit. An ergonomic helm station provides great visibility and easy sail handling.

Visitors to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will have the opportunity to step aboard the Lagoon 38 and experience firsthand the thoughtful design and sailing capability that continues to make Lagoon the world's leading catamaran brand. The 2026 event celebrates its 37th year and will welcome more than 300 exhibitors from Australia and across the globe, showcasing 800-plus vessels and 2,500-plus marine products and accessories on and off water.

Available for European or Australian delivery through TMG Yachts, the Lagoon 38 is ready for the next adventure, wherever it begins. For those looking to explore the world by sail, the Lagoon 38 is available for handover in Les Sables-d'Olonne, France, home to Lagoon's Vendée shipyard. The Gold Coast premiere in May will be the first chance for Southern Hemisphere buyers to walk the boat in person.
