Suntex Marina Investors, in partnership with Centerbridge Partners, has acquired Two Georges Marina in Shalimar, Florida, and will rebrand the property as Shalimar Harbor Marina, expanding full-service marina capacity on the Emerald Coast. The deal adds 134 wet slips and 190 dry-rack spaces to Suntex’s regional footprint and brings a fuel dock, ship store and on-site marine services under the new name.

The acquisition closed on January 23, 2026. The site will continue to host the existing Two Georges Marine sales and service business, preserving an on-site resource for repairs, routine maintenance and brokerage needs. Service continuity is a practical win for owners who prefer to keep boats local for winterization, haul-outs and refits.

For catamaran owners and charter operators, the numbers matter. An additional 134 wet slips increases berth options for beamier twin-hulls that often struggle to find compatible slips, and 190 dry-rack spaces create more short-term and seasonal storage capacity for owners who prefer rack storage to long-term wet moorage. The presence of a fuel dock and ship store reduces run-around time for provisioning before a cruise or charter, and on-site services mean hull and engine work can be coordinated at the same location where boats are berthed or racked.

Shalimar sits in a busy corridor for cruising, inshore and offshore fishing, and recreational powerboating, attracting transient vessels as well as locally based fleets. The expanded capacity will help alleviate peak-season pressure on nearby marinas and give charter operators additional staging options for overnight charters or multi-day cruises. Twin-hull visitors, from private cruising cats to small commercial charter cats, will find it easier to secure appropriate slips or dry storage during busy periods.

The partnership between Suntex and Centerbridge reinforces Suntex’s strategy of growing its Emerald Coast presence. The new Shalimar Harbor Marina complements Suntex’s existing facilities by adding mixed wet-and-dry capabilities that appeal to a range of vessel types and ownership models. Keeping Two Georges Marine sales and service on site preserves local expertise and supports the marina’s role as a one-stop location for berthing, fuel, parts and service.

What comes next for owners and operators is straightforward: monitor slip and rack availability with the new management, plan bookings earlier in high season, and use the on-site service options to minimize offsite repairs. As Shalimar Harbor Marina settles into its new identity, expect incremental relief for berth shortages and a more coordinated option for catamaran logistics along the Emerald Coast.
