The Hermes Mega Catamaran made her debut in the Galápagos Islands in April 2025, and Voyagers Travel Company wasted little time making her a centrepiece of its growing expedition roster. The company announced a seven-day itinerary in the Galápagos Islands, designated as the C + D route, operated aboard the Hermes Mega Catamaran, a premium vessel designed to provide high-end comfort while facilitating in-depth exploration of the archipelago.

Hermes holds the distinction of being the Galápagos' first ultra-luxury catamaran, offering an exclusive experience for only 20 guests across 730 square metres of social space. That 20-guest maximum is precisely what separates the Hermes from the conventional expedition ship crowd — not a single berth is wasted. The vessel features 12 spacious, convertible, state-of-the-art suites distributed across two of her three decks, including 10 double and 2 single options, all with a private bathroom with a personal jacuzzi, air conditioning, walk-in closet, well-stocked minibar, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a private balcony.

To ensure a high level of service and expert guidance, the ship operates with an almost one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio, complete with a butler and two naturalist guides. Reliable internet connectivity at sea is also provided via Starlink. The culinary program was developed by Executive Chef Andres Robles, whose experience spans Michelin-starred restaurants and Relais & Châteaux properties, and who crafted the breakfast, lunch, in-suite breakfast, and fine dining menus guests enjoy aboard Hermes.

The C + D itinerary takes guests through Española, Floreana, Santa Cruz, Genovesa, and San Cristóbal. The Hermes Mega Catamaran is the result of her visionary owner's 30th-anniversary celebrations as a Galápagos cruise operator, aiming to offer something truly extraordinary and unprecedented in the islands.

Booking a Hermes voyage also functions as a conservation commitment: proceeds help support wildlife preservation in the Galápagos through the operator's Endemic Reforestation Program on Santa Cruz Island.

New vessels joining the Voyagers portfolio in 2026 include Monique, Grand Ocean Spray, Amazon Explorer, and a new expedition ship still under development. Among the most notable forthcoming additions is the Magellan Discoverer, a groundbreaking hybrid-electric expedition ship built in Chile for the 2026–2027 Antarctic season, designed for sustainability and comfort, and offering exclusive air-cruise itineraries to the Antarctic Peninsula. Now in its final phase of construction, the Magellan Discoverer will undergo interior outfitting and technical sea trials before delivery in September 2026, with first official voyages scheduled to depart in November 2026.

Voyagers Travel Company has over two decades of experience organising bespoke journeys across South America and Antarctica, and the addition of Hermes to its promoted fleet signals a clear push toward ultra-small, ultra-premium multihull cruising as the defining format for serious Galápagos expeditions.
