Scooter’s Coffee announced it has reached 900 stores across 32 U.S. states and celebrated the milestone with the opening of its 900th location in Paris, Tennessee. The company credited rapid franchise growth for the milestone after adding 83 stores in 2025, a gain the brand called a 10 percent increase following a 16 percent increase in 2024.
Scooter’s emphasized that nearly all locations are owned and operated by local franchisees as the chain tracks expansion. “This milestone wouldn’t be possible without our customers who make us part of their every day, our franchisees, and so many amazing baristas who serve up smiles with every order,” said Joe Thornton. “Through delivering an exceptional customer experience, menu innovation to deliver new exciting tastes, and connecting with the local communities we serve, we’re eager to continue our growth as our franchisees lead the way by opening additional locations.”
The 900th store in Paris, Tennessee opened with a ribbon cutting by franchisees Charlton and Keri Story during grand opening activities reported as taking place Friday, Feb. 20. The Paris store ran week-long grand opening giveaways of free drinks and branded swag that generated long lines “that stretched down the street,” and one customer at the Paris location was selected to receive a trip for two to Paris, France. Scooter’s materials noted the local color that Paris, Tennessee features its own replica Eiffel Tower.

Companywide and menu promotions accompanied the milestone. Customers were invited to “Scoot On Around®” after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 to receive a free limited-edition reusable cup, limited to one per customer while supplies last. Seasonal floral-lavender drinks rolled out beginning Thursday, Feb. 19 and included Lavender White Mocha, Berry Lavender Matcha and a Lavender Ice Berry Red Bull Infusion featuring Red Bull Iced Edition; the brand also promoted new items in a “’Licious Lineup” such as Fudgelicious, Strawberry Shortcake Latte and Honeycomb Latte.
Scooter’s Coffee traces its roots to founders Don and Linda Eckles, who opened the first store in Bellevue, Nebraska in 1998, and the company is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The chain uses beans roasted by its affiliated Harvest Roasting operation in Omaha and cites four core values - Integrity, Love, Humility and Courage - alongside its Brand Promise: Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!® The franchising pages on the company site highlight accolades including a #13 spot on Yelp’s 2023 Most Loved Brands list and a #3 ranking on Franchise Times Fast & Serious 40 in 2023.

With 900 stores now operating across 32 states and continued franchise-led openings, Scooter’s says it is striving to become the #1 drive-thru specialty coffee franchise system in the nation as it pursues further growth.
