Persistent thunderstorms and lightning turned the Gymreapers-produced Wodapalooza Miami Beach 2026 into something athletes and spectators won't forget for the wrong reasons. The four-day festival, held March 12–15 at Miami Beach, experienced repeated weather delays across all four days before organizers ultimately canceled the competition before every division could finish its events.

The disruptions hit multiple divisions. The men's elite individual division couldn't complete its final event on Friday night, leaving that field without a clean finish to the weekend's work. Then on Sunday, the elite team divisions, both men and women, had their competition cut short by another round of thunderstorms. To salvage any conclusion for the team athletes, elite teams were redirected to finish workout 26.3 at CrossFit Miami Beach, moving the competition off the main festival floor entirely.

Despite all of it, Lucy Campbell and James Sprague each defended their respective titles at the event.

In the elite team men division, Team GOWOD topped the leaderboard at 370 points, finishing well clear of The Boys in second at 342 and RX Smart Gear in third at 314. Norwegian Kriger Boyz came in fourth at 188 points, with EMF Training (176), Team Colombia (166), and Romans 8:28 (164) rounding out the top seven. Carolina Dawgs (160), Ohhh Shoot! (154), and Team Brave BR (152) completed the top ten. Further down, French Minimoys placed 11th at 140 points, while CrossFit 1124 and Undertrained and Overconfident tied at 114 for 12th and 13th. The field ran 20 teams deep, with Team Supra closing out the list at 12 points. Given that the elite teams had their weekend cut short, whether these point totals reflect a complete competition remains a fair question.

Wodapalooza has already announced its next major stop: Mexico City in December 2026.
