Kansas City Fashion Week Brings Back Puppy Yoga for Spring 2026

Kansas City Fashion Week's fashionFIT Puppy Yoga returned to Hotel Kansas City on Tuesday, March 24, drawing a sold-out crowd of mat-rollers and canine enthusiasts for what has become one of the most anticipated side events on the KCFW calendar. Tickets sold out entirely, with none available at the door.

The one-hour session ran from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Hotel Kansas City, priced at $25 per person, with the event held rain or shine. Participants were asked to bring their own yoga mat. KCFW's Lori Barnes and yoga instructor Tina Rojas previewed the session ahead of the event, which benefited Pawportunities Rescue.

The fashionFIT programming has a clear track record of bringing rescue organizations into the fashion-week fold. When KCFW launched fashionFIT with its first health and wellness event, a portion of proceeds benefited Unleashed Pet Rescue. The Pawportunities Rescue partnership for the S/S 2026 edition continues that tradition.

Beyond the runway, the weeklong series of events included the return of the popular and adorable fashionFIT Puppy Yoga, held Tuesday at Hotel Kansas City. The S/S 2026 Collections ran March 20 through 28, 2026, centered at Union Station Kansas City. The puppy yoga session sat squarely in the middle of that programming window, giving attendees a chance to step away from the runway and onto the mat, puppies included.

The sell-out mirrors the demand that earned the event its return slot in the first place. The KCFW event listing promoted it simply: "Back by popular demand is KCFW fashionFIT Puppy Yoga!" That demand, it turns out, was not exaggerated. The combination of a fashion-week setting, a rescue-centered fundraising mission, and a room full of dogs has proven to be a formula Kansas City keeps showing up for, season after season.
