Laughing Frog Yoga put a distinctly Los Angeles spin on puppy yoga with a French Bulldog class built for May 16 at 12217 Santa Monica Blvd. The 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. session promised 6 to 8 Frenchie puppies from Frenchiemon Masters, turning the studio’s familiar format into a small, breed-specific room full of movement, photos and close-up puppy time.

The setup was designed less like a standard fitness class and more like a limited-run social event. Laughing Frog said the class was indoors, with puppies joining every pose, and that the final 30 minutes were set aside for hangout time and selfies. The studio also noted two levels of free underground parking on-site, a practical detail that mattered in a neighborhood where curbside parking can be a gamble.

Laughing Frog has been leaning into this lane for years. The West LA studio says it has offered puppy yoga in Los Angeles since 2019 and calls itself the original Puppy Yoga in Los Angeles. It also says it is the only yoga studio in LA offering puppy yoga classes with rescue puppies and French Bulldogs, and it has expanded that identity into goat yoga, birthday parties and private team-building events for groups including Google, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Girl Scouts, Red Bull, Reddit and UCLA. The studio says it has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times.

The class was open to all levels, from beginners to advanced yogis, and children were welcome if a legal guardian signed the waiver for anyone under 18. Laughing Frog said all sales were final, with no refunds, credits or date switches, which fit the way these events are handled as tightly managed, capacity-limited outings rather than drop-in gym classes.

That careful structure matters in a scene where puppy yoga has to balance novelty with animal care. The American Veterinary Medical Association says puppy socialization is most effective between 3 and 14 weeks of age, and that well-managed classes can provide positive learning experiences as long as disease and injury risks are controlled. The American Kennel Club describes French Bulldogs as a popular small-dog breed, especially among city dwellers, while the ASPCA said in 2025 that more than 800 animal-welfare violations were documented at USDA-licensed commercial dog-breeding facilities in 2024. Against that backdrop, Laughing Frog’s Frenchie class stood out not just as a playful West LA outing, but as a tightly framed event built around a local puppy program, a short time window and a roomful of very visible little dogs.
