Puppy Yoga and Networking Event Brings Adults Together in Kansas
Adults in Overland Park got puppy yoga, networking and a donation-only night, with 100% of contributions going to Pawsitive Tails.

Adults looking for a lower-pressure mixer had one at Graceful Wellness and Med Spa, LLC in Overland Park, where Paws & Pause: Puppy Yoga and Networking blended a yoga session, puppies from Pawsitive Tails, and a room built for meeting new people. The 21-and-over event was set up for anyone who wanted a social night that felt more relaxed than a standard networking reception, with all contributions directed to the rescue.
The format was simple and beginner-friendly. Doors opened at 4:50 p.m., the program ran from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., free parking was available, and attendees were told to bring a mat. No yoga experience was needed, which kept the entry barrier low for first-timers who may have come as much for the puppies as for the stretches. A separate RSVP option for networking only showed that the event was trying to serve two crowds at once: people there for puppy yoga and people there strictly to connect.
Pawsitive Tails gave the night its charitable core. The Olathe-based group is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that relies on contributions, adoption fees and fundraising events to care for the dogs in its foster homes. That setup made the donation model a natural fit, since every dollar from the event was designated to go back to the rescue rather than into a commercial ticket package.

The puppy yoga concept itself has become familiar enough that the draw is no longer just novelty. The American Kennel Club says the format typically looks like a normal yoga class with puppies roaming freely through the room, and it notes that puppy yoga can help socialize young dogs. The club also points to puppy socialization, training, activity and responsible ownership as key parts of healthy development, which helps explain why rescue partners keep showing up in these events.
Graceful Wellness and Med Spa’s role also mattered. The business describes its services as including comprehensive weight loss programs, hormone testing and replacement, skin care consultations and fitness tailored to lifestyle, so the puppy yoga night fit naturally into its wellness-focused brand. It was not the only puppy-themed date on its calendar, either. Graceful Wellness and Medspa also listed Yappy Hour - Puppy Yoga & Drinks! for April 24, 2026, while another Pawsitive Tails puppy yoga event appeared at Genesis North Overland Park for May 9, 2026. In the Kansas City metro, puppy yoga has moved well beyond a one-off class and into a flexible community format that can double as a fundraiser, a wellness break and a place to meet people without the usual stiffness.
