Classic 1983 Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon Now Streaming Free on YouTube
Hasbro dropped the first three episodes of the beloved 1983 D&D cartoon on the official YouTube channel yesterday, with new episodes arriving free every Friday.

The portal home may still be elusive, but the 1983 Dungeons & Dragons animated series is no longer hard to find. Hasbro dropped the first three episodes of the classic cartoon on the official Dungeons & Dragons YouTube channel on March 13, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, making them available to watch for free.
The @Wizards_DnD account telegraphed the news a day early, posting on March 12: "We're watching episodes of the Dungeons & Dragons animated series every Friday on our YouTube channel." That Friday cadence is the ongoing release plan, meaning new episodes will continue hitting the channel each week.
The initial three-episode drop marked the first time the series has been officially streamed through the brand's own YouTube presence. The 1983 animated series, which aired on CBS, followed a group of kids transported into a fantasy realm and became a touchstone for a generation of players who grew up rolling dice alongside it. For many in the community, the show is as much a part of D&D's DNA as the Monster Manual.

Hasbro has not released details on whether all episodes from the original run will eventually be posted, how long the uploads will remain available, or whether any remastering was done before publication. Episode titles for the initial three-episode drop have also not been specified in the announcement materials.
The weekly Friday release schedule means the full breadth of what Hasbro plans to put on the channel should become clearer over the coming weeks.
