D&D Beyond Changelog Introduces 90+ Map Stickers, Copy-Paste, and Fixes
D&D Beyond added 90 new map stickers and listed copy-and-paste plus bug fixes in a Jan. 27 changelog, improving map editing and dressing for DMs and players.

D&D Beyond rolled out a Maps update that expanded its stickers library and named copy-and-paste as a headline improvement, while also listing miscellaneous bug fixes. The January 27 changelog, posted under the "Changelog, January - March 2026" banner, opened with "Welcome, Adventurers! WOTC_Zac is back with three new quality-of-life improvements in Maps for you, and a few bug fixes, too." The post carried the explicit subheading "90 New Stickers, Available for Everyone."
Stickers first arrived on D&D Beyond last year. The April 8, 2025 Maps update introduced the Stickers Browser and basic placement tools: "Stickers are a new and easy way to customize your maps with furniture, decor, props, terrain, hazards, and more! Navigate to the Stickers Browser, select a sticker to see its name and category tag, and click the + sign to add (or drag and drop it directly on the map)! Select the sticker within the map to move, resize, and rotate it as needed." That workflow remains central to how the new assets are expected to be used.
Practical value is immediate for DMs who stage environments and need to iterate quickly. The new stickers expand the asset pool that DMs can drag onto battlemaps or tactical scenes, and community reporting flagged improved search and categorization. A Reddit post summarized community findings as "Copy/paste, 90+ new "Utility" stickers, and improved sticker search!" while site updates from September 2025 confirmed users can "search stickers by name and category tag to find what you need" and "use the toolbar to hide and reveal stickers from your players, or manage player access through Settings." Those controls let DMs conceal traps, set up illusions, or reveal props at the table without re-uploading maps.
The changelog title explicitly lists "Copy & Paste," implying a faster workflow for duplicating map elements, but the provided changelog excerpt does not supply UI details or keyboard shortcuts. Another lingering note from the April 8, 2025 post remains relevant: "We are aware of an issue that prevents Stickers from being included with shared content. The Maps team is working on resolving the issue, but we don't have an estimated timeline." The January 27 excerpt does not confirm whether that sharing problem was resolved.

Maps fixes announced across previous updates also matter: March 11, 2025 notes that "Monster spell tooltips correctly link to their 2024 versions" and that entering edit mode "preserves your previous token size, zoom, and positioning." Outside Maps, D&D Beyond applied textual corrections to the Monster Manual (2025): "This update corrects and clarifies some text in the Monster Manual (2025). The changes appear in recent printings of the book. These changes have been applied across D&D Beyond and can also be found via downloadable PDF."
What this means for your table: expect more options to dress scenes quickly and better searchability for assets, plus a promised copy-and-paste convenience. Check your Maps FAQ and test a shared session to see if stickers travel with your content, and keep an eye on future changelogs or WOTC_Zac posts for full details and any follow-up fixes.
