ENVGO NV1 Electric Hydrofoiling Boat Makes U.S. Debut at Palm Beach Boat Show
ENVGO's NV1 lifts onto hydrofoils in seven seconds and DC fast-charges in 45 minutes — the Canadian startup brings its $400K electric foiler to Palm Beach on March 25.

Canadian aerospace startup ENVGO will bring its NV1 electric hydrofoiling boat to American buyers for the first time at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, running March 25–29, with the NV1 Founders Edition on display at Booth SYSL8 in the Superyacht Show Palm Harbor section. Selected attendees will also have the chance to get on the water themselves, with sea trials scheduled at Sailfish Marina, Singer Island, from March 31 to April 2.
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, ENVGO built its core team from people who previously founded Aeryon Labs, a Canadian drone company acquired in 2019. That aerospace background in flight control and autonomous systems shapes everything about the NV1's engineering approach. The naval architecture comes from Steve Killing Yacht Design, whose C-Class hydrofoil work for America's Cup campaigns directly informed the NV1's integrated foil configuration. Exterior styling is credited to J. David Weiss of Designova Creative, producing what Canadian Boating described as lines that conjure up fighter jets.
The NV1 is a 25-foot, six-seat vessel with an 8.5-foot beam and a carbon fiber hull. It runs a dual-motor electric drivetrain producing 330 hp peak and 170 hp continuous, drawing from an 80-kWh battery pack. In displacement mode it behaves like a conventional boat; as speed builds, computer-controlled hydrofoils lift the hull clear of the water in approximately seven seconds. In foiling mode, cruising speed sits at 23 mph (20 knots) with a top speed of 80 kph (43 knots). ENVGO quotes a range of 100 km in foiling mode, with reduced drag delivering around four times the efficiency of a conventional electric boat hull. The foils are fully retractable for shallow-water operation and trailering.
Charging is NACS-compliant with support for Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast charging. DC fast charging delivers a full charge in approximately 45 minutes; Level 2 home charging takes around eight hours. The onboard tech package includes an AI co-pilot, autonomous navigation, collision avoidance, touchscreen controls paired with a steering wheel, a 360-degree surround view system for docking, and a water-skiing sky pylon.
The price is US$400,000, with reservations open and a $1,000 deposit required to hold a spot.

"The NV1 represents a fundamental shift in how boats are designed and experienced," said Paul Masojc, COO and co-founder of ENVGO. "By engineering performance, efficiency, and ease of use together from the outset, we've created a vessel that drastically outperforms conventional electric boats, with a design as striking as the experience itself."
CEO and co-founder Mike Peasgood framed the timing plainly: "There comes a moment when technology stops feeling futuristic and starts feeling real. For electric hydrofoiling boats, that moment is now."
The NV1 was first shown publicly at the Toronto International Boat Show in January, where it was the only hydrofoiling boat on the floor. Palm Beach marks its first appearance before U.S. buyers, and the Sailfish Marina trials immediately after the show will be the first chance for anyone outside Canada to experience the foiling transition firsthand.
