Foil Drive just removed the part of buying foil-assist gear that most often drags a purchase into a slog. Orders for the American market now ship directly from a US warehouse, with tariffs, duties, and logistics handled upfront, so riders can check out in USD without customs paperwork hanging over the order.

That matters because the bottleneck was never always interest. It was timing. A rider might know exactly which setup fits a prone session, a SUP downwind run, or a surf foil progression, but international shipping could turn a quick decision into a wait, and a wait into a missed swell window. By moving US fulfillment onshore, Foil Drive cut the distance between wanting the gear and actually riding it.

The company said the American foiling community has been a huge part of Foil Drive for more than five years, and the US expansion is built around more than shipping. Foil Drive said it wants to bring demo days, community rides, workshops, and clinics closer to riders, which is the kind of access that usually decides whether someone buys with confidence or keeps watching clips and asking questions. In this niche, local water time sells the system better than any spec sheet.

Support is getting a sharper local edge too. Foil Drive lists a US help line at +1 786 471 2791, while headquarters remains in Adelaide, Australia, overseeing US operations. The company also points riders toward local dealers, schools, and approved service centers for support, expert knowledge, and product access. That should make warranty and service work feel less like a trans-Pacific exercise and more like something handled in the same season you bought the gear.

Foil Drive has been building that foothold for years. The company says its hybrid foiling concept officially launched in 2021, and a December 23, 2022 podcast episode had founders Paul and Ben talking about the brand’s “massive first two years.” A March 2024 post also showed the company was already showing up in Florida through the Foil Surf Racing League event, so this US push looks less like a sudden arrival than a formalized presence.

The current lineup still anchors the pitch. Assist MAX remains the flagship all-rounder, while Fusion lists 43V electronics, a maximum thrust of 34kg, or 74lbs, and an 864Wh battery. For American riders, the bigger shift is not just which box arrives, but how much less friction stands between checkout and the first session.
