CDOT Crews Clear Debris on CO 145 Near Telluride at Keystone Hill

CDOT crews will take to Keystone Hill on Tuesday, March 17, to clear debris from underneath a guardrail on Colorado Highway 145 in San Miguel County, with motorists traveling between Telluride and Placerville facing full stops, alternating traffic and delays of up to 15 minutes during the six-hour work window.

The sweeping and shoulder cleaning operations will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Mile Points 73 to 74, the stretch of CO 145 that winds through Keystone Hill west of Telluride. According to the CDOT advisory, routine maintenance operations are necessary to remove excess debris along the highway, with the specific focus being material that has accumulated underneath the guardrail at that location.

Traffic will move through the work zone under alternating traffic control, meaning drivers should expect periodic full stops before being released through. CDOT notes that delays could stretch up to 15 minutes at any given stop. All operations are weather permitting.
