DoorGateLock gives GTA V single-player something the vanilla game never handled cleanly: persistent control over doors and gates that actually stays put after you reload. Built by ArneM16, the lightweight script is aimed straight at safehouses, restricted compounds, and roleplay interiors where a single locked entrance is not enough. It handles standard doors, double doors, sliding gates, garage doors, and larger industrial gates, making it immediately useful for private garages, police stations, warehouses, and other secure locations.

The strongest part of DoorGateLock is how it moves beyond basic open-and-shut toggles. Its group system lets multiple entrances operate together, so one access point can control a whole compound instead of forcing players to lock every door by hand. The mod also adds per-door radius control, renaming, custom keybinds through an INI file, sound support, automatic saving, and persistence after a game restart. For players building base-like properties or carefully staged RP spaces, that means the layout works like a real secured site instead of a set of separate map props that have to be reset every session.

That persistence is the real quality-of-life win. Manual map editing and workaround-heavy setups can imitate locked access, but they usually fall apart when the session ends or when the property needs multiple connected entrances to behave as one unit. DoorGateLock is built to avoid that mess. Once a setup is configured, the lock state and grouped behavior are meant to carry over, so a garage, warehouse bay, or station entrance does not need to be rebuilt every time the game loads.

The mod also lands on familiar current tooling. It relies on ScriptHookV, Community Script Hook V .NET, LemonUI, and Newtonsoft.Json. Community Script Hook V .NET lets scripts written in any .NET language run inside GTA V, while its installation instructions call for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or higher and the latest Script Hook V. LemonUI, created by crosire and justalemon as a replacement for NativeUI, provides the menu framework DoorGateLock uses without trying to act as a mod menu or trainer.

DoorGateLock is listed as version 1.0.0 on GTA5-Mods.com, and a 1.1.0 entry also appears in the site’s latest-mods feed, signaling that the project is still moving. Planned features include lock icons, auto-lock timers, permission systems, and more advanced group settings. For GTA V single-player builders, that points to a rare kind of utility mod, one that can quietly turn a static property into a believable secured space.
