That level of scrutiny matters because Rockstar released Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025 with a clear setup: Jason and Lucia Caminos are drawn into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida after an easy score goes wrong, with Vice City, USA at the center of the game’s return to the series’ most nostalgia-heavy setting.

The Tommy reference does not confirm Tommy Vercetti himself, and it does not prove a direct story link between GTA: Vice City and GTA 6. What it does show is Rockstar using one of its most durable symbols as a visual bridge. The shirt match is close enough to trigger instant recognition, but the trailer stops short of turning that recognition into a hard continuity promise.
