The Salford chicken shop that looked like GTA’s Cluckin’ Bell has pulled back its branding and reemerged as The Cluckin’ Bite, a change that hit harder than a normal storefront tweak because fans had already turned 235 Bolton Road into a real-world pilgrimage stop.

Companies House now lists the business as THE CLUCKIN BITE LTD, company number 16989550, with a registered address at 235 Bolton Road, Salford, England, M6 7HP. The company was incorporated on 26 January 2026, and the records show it previously traded as THE CLUCKIN BELL LTD from 26 January 2026 to 7 April 2026. Its stated business activity is SIC code 56103, take-away food shops and mobile food stands.

That paperwork change followed a visible one on the street. Dexerto reported that the storefront branding had been changed and part of the signage removed, a sharp turn for a site that had first caught attention in March 2026 as a near-perfect real-life riff on Rockstar’s fictional fried-chicken chain. For GTA players, Cluckin’ Bell is not just another joke logo. It is one of those background brands that has lived in the series for years, the sort of detail fans notice immediately when it turns up in the wild.

The reaction makes sense in a community that has seen GTA-themed real-world projects run straight into legal walls before. In 2023, the team behind a planned Cluckin’ Bell and Burger Shot event faced a cease-and-desist letter from lawyers representing Take-Two Interactive, forcing them to abandon the Burger Shot portion and retitle the Cluckin’ Bell installation Dont Cluckin Tell. NME reported that the event had been aimed at San Diego Comic-Con, while RockstarINTEL noted that the promotion drew attention for its costumes, menus and signage, and that early social posts wrongly made it sound as if the shop had been shut down before it even opened.

Rockstar later brought Cluckin’ Bell back into the spotlight in March 2024 with GTA Online’s The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid, which kept the brand alive inside the game even as the real-world version was becoming harder to preserve. That is why the Salford rebrand has landed as more than a local business update. It reads like another small disappearance from GTA’s fan map, where a joke restaurant can become a memory, and then, almost overnight, a renamed storefront that players have to learn all over again.
