Rockstar’s latest GTA Online week put the new Community Mission Series at the front of the money grind, and Old School Hits was the clear headline grabber. The first featured Community Mission, built with the new Rockstar Mission Creator, paid 4X GTA$ and RP on Enhanced editions and carried a GTA$100,000 weekly challenge for finishing it.

That made Old School Hits the best all-around target for players who wanted both a payout spike and something fresh to run. Rockstar framed the mission as a tribute to three classics from the original Grand Theft Auto trilogy, and the Mission Creator gave creators room to do more than the old tools allowed, including missions for up to eight players and access to spots that had previously been off-limits, such as the USS Luxington deck, the Cluckin’ Bell factory, and several banks. For crews, that novelty mattered as much as the cash.

Solo players still had strong repeatable options outside the featured mission. Payphone Hits, Time Trials, and Open Wheel Races all paid 3X GTA$ and RP, which made them the best fast-grind routes if a player wanted shorter sessions and less dependence on a full lobby. Madrazo Hits sat a step lower at 2X, or 4X for GTA+ members, so they were worth a look for anyone already working through that activity, but they did not beat the top trio for raw efficiency.

The split between Enhanced and Legacy editions defined the rest of the week. On Legacy platforms, Rockstar pushed the Community Race Series instead of the new mission focus, and the weekly challenge rewarded GTA$100,000 for winning two Open Wheel Races. On Enhanced, the same GTA$100,000 bonus came from clearing Old School Hits, which showed how sharply Rockstar has started separating the two versions of the game.

This community push did not come out of nowhere. Rockstar had already run the Community Series Showcase from March 12 through April 1, 2026, paying GTA$500,000 each week for completing five Community Series Jobs, up to GTA$1,500,000 total. Title Update 1.72, last updated April 9, had already added new Wanted Level options and creator fixes, so the April 30 rollout landed as part of a broader stabilization of the new tools.

The rest of the week was about spending what players earned. Rockstar layered in vehicle discounts, a Precision Rifle discount at the Gun Van, and a Combat Shotgun discount for GTA+ subscribers. That followed the April 2 Neighborhood Watch Event, which added Bravado Buffalo law-enforcement vehicles and Dispatch Work assignments. The result was a familiar GTA Online rhythm, with the best cash going to Old School Hits and the best quick solo money still coming from the 3X jobs.
