Neighborhood Watch returned to GTA Online on April 2 as the headline event of the 'A Safehouse in the Hills' update (v1.72), bringing two fresh Dispatch Work missions, a pair of Bravado police cruisers, and LSPD outfits to earn across back-to-back themed weeks. The event first ran across two weeks in September 2025, but this April edition is the more content-rich version, with expanded multipliers and vehicles that the original debut never had.

Officer Vincent Effenburger, the in-game contact managing all Dispatch Work, hands out two brand-new mission types this cycle. 'Heli Scan' puts you in a Buzzard helicopter to track down a fugitive using the aircraft's scanner, while 'Prisoner Transport' tasks you with defusing a bomb planted on a prison transport vehicle. Getting access requires some groundwork first: complete the 'Slush Fund' setup mission from The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid as session leader, then activate Dispatch Work while behind the wheel of a law enforcement vehicle. Any active CEO, VIP, or Motorcycle Club President role must also be dropped before Effenburger's operations become available.

Week 1, running through April 8, centers entirely on Dispatch Work. Five completed missions earns the Summer LSPD Officer with Tie outfit alongside GTA$200,000. The base Summer LSPD Officer outfit debuted during the September 2025 Neighborhood Watch run; the 2026 version distinguishes itself with the addition of a tie. All Dispatch Work pays 2X GTA$ and RP through April 15 for standard players, while GTA+ members receive a 3X multiplier this week.

Week 2 shifts focus to the Bail Office starting April 9. Two completed Bail Office bounties unlock the Winter LSPD Officer outfit and GTA$100,000. The Bail Office and all associated purchases, upgrades, and modifications are discounted 40% through April 15. GTA+ members see their reward multiplier jump to 4X during that second week.

Two new Bravado vehicles launched alongside the event, both sold through Warstock Cache & Carry. The Buffalo Cruiser, priced at GTA$4,435,000 (or GTA$3,326,250 at trade price, unlocked via the 'Civil Forfeiture' mission), draws its design from the 2011-2014 Dodge Charger Pursuit and is the vehicle required to start Dispatch Work with Effenburger. The Buffalo STX Pursuit carries a GTA$5,370,000 price tag (GTA$4,027,500 at trade price) and is modeled on the 2015-2023 Dodge Charger Pursuit. GTA+ members can claim it for free at the Vinewood Car Club; it opens to all players via Warstock on April 9. The STX Pursuit also carries a notable distinction outside of Los Santos: it appears in the first GTA 6 trailer at the 1:07 mark, wearing a Vice-Dale Police Department livery modeled on real Miami-Dade Police Department Chargers.

The event's Twitch Drops campaign runs through April 15, with watch time on participating channels unlocking GTA$ at the 2-, 4-, and 6-hour milestones totaling GTA$1,000,000, and the Winter Highway Patrol Outfit at eight hours. Watch time accumulates across sessions, and a linked Rockstar Social Club account is required to qualify.

Beyond Dispatch Work, 35% discounts are active through April 15 on the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor, Vapid Stanier LE Cruiser, Bravado Dorado Cruiser, and Declasse Impaler SZ Cruiser. Purchasing the Declasse Park Ranger during the event delivers the Winter Park Ranger Outfit within 72 hours.

With the Buffalo STX Pursuit already confirmed for GTA 6, every mile logged in that cruiser during Neighborhood Watch is a preview of what's coming to Vice City.
