LSPDFR version mismatch breaks Script Hook V in GTA V Enhanced
A fresh LCPDFR thread says the current LSPDFR build can knock Script Hook V offline in GTA V Enhanced, and the fix starts with checking the bundled RAGE Plugin Hook version.

A new LCPDFR support thread put a familiar GTA V Enhanced problem in plain English: the current version of LSPDFR is making Script Hook V stop working. For players who load in and find scripts missing, menus dead, or the game acting like nothing is installed, the first place to look is not the whole mod stack but the version chain between LSPDFR, Script Hook V, and RAGE Plugin Hook.
The most important detail is easy to miss. LCPDFR’s own guidance says the newest RAGE Plugin Hook version required for LSPDFR is included inside the LSPDFR download, not on the standalone RAGE Plugin Hook website. If you pull the wrong hook build, you can spend hours blaming Script Hook V or another plugin when the real problem is that one dependency is out of sync with the Enhanced build. The thread’s warning is blunt for a reason: the wrong files can overwrite the right ones, and once that happens, GTA V Enhanced can stop reading the install correctly.
That matters more now because Enhanced support is still moving fast. LCPDFR said in March 2025 that RAGE Plugin Hook was being ported to Enhanced and was already running on the new edition with most basic features working, including small plugins and DX12 rendering. The same update said the team’s biggest LSPDFR release was in closed beta, which tells the story of a mod ecosystem that is live, but still shifting under players’ feet.
Rockstar’s free GTA V PC upgrade went live on March 4, 2025, and the old build was renamed GTA V Legacy and kept on support. Since then, LCPDFR has been telling first-time installers to start from a clean copy of GTA V Enhanced with no other mods or plugins. That advice is not just cautionary boilerplate. It is the fastest way to separate an Enhanced compatibility problem from a broken load order, a stale hook, or an overwrite from a previous Legacy setup.
The project is still being patched around real-world blockers. LCPDFR said its Enhanced preview was updated on April 16 to fix problems some users had getting into the police department interior. A separate March 2025 support thread asking whether current LSPDFR would work normally on GTA Enhanced showed the uncertainty that has followed the upgrade from the start. The pattern is clear now: Enhanced support exists, but every new build still needs the right hook, the right plugin bundle, and a clean install before anything else.
