Rockstar kicks off GTA Online Motor Madness with quadruple race rewards
Motor Madness put quadruple money on Land Races and stacked garage perks across Los Santos, making the first week the strongest window for racers and vehicle collectors.

Rockstar Games kicked off Motor Madness with a two-week GTA Online push that finally made car culture the main event. The first half, running through May 20, hit hardest for anyone who wants fast cash: Land Races paid 4X GTA$ and RP, while HSW Time Trials and Simeon Contact Missions each paid 3X GTA$ and RP. That mix made the opening week the clear log-in window for racers, time trial hunters, and players chasing quick progression without sinking into the usual contact mission grind.
The biggest value sits with players who actually use garages, shops, and meetups. Salvage Yard Daily Income, Salvage Yard Robbery Sale and Salvage Value, and Tow Truck Services payouts were doubled through May 20, and Rockstar put the Red’s Auto Parts Salvage Yard and its upgrades and modifications at 40 percent off. That made the event especially strong for owners already invested in the vehicle economy, while the free LS Car Meet Membership widened the net for anyone ready to lean into Los Santos’ tuner scene. Rockstar also added the new Water Like livery for the Vapid FMJ MK V, a clean pickup for collectors who care about rare cosmetic flex as much as lap times.

The reward chase was just as stacked outside the race playlists. Playing GTA Online anytime through May 27 unlocked the Rockstar Helmet, buying any vehicle from Premium Deluxe Motorsport unlocked the Rockstar Racing Suit within 72 hours, and buying any vehicle from Luxury Autos unlocked the LS Customs Varsity Jacket within 72 hours. Any purchasable vehicle bought inside the LS Car Meet also unlocked the Blue Banshee Tee within 72 hours. For players who log in for limited-time clothing and garage bragging rights, Motor Madness was unusually generous compared with a standard weekly rotation.
The event’s challenge rewards sharpened the advice even more. Winning any two races between May 14 and May 20 unlocked the Dark Manor Racing Suit plus GTA$100,000, while winning two LS Car Meet Races between May 21 and May 27 unlocked the Bright Manor Racing Suit and another GTA$100,000. The second week then shifted into LS Car Meet Series races with 2X GTA$ and RP and 5X Reputation, so anyone chasing Rep should save energy for that stretch. Combined with the Benefactor LM87 at the Casino podium, the Benefactor Krieger as the Prize Ride for top five finishes in five LS Car Meet Series races, and the Weeny Issi Rally as the Premium Test Ride for current-gen players, Motor Madness landed as a garage-first event that rewarded serious drivers early and tuner loyalists late.
