Take-Two Confirms GTA 6 Marketing Kicks Off This Summer Ahead of November Launch
Take-Two's Q3 2026 earnings confirm Rockstar's GTA 6 marketing begins this summer, with industry watchers zeroing in on August for the next big trailer drop.

Take-Two Interactive's Q3 2026 earnings release has put a concrete timeline on what GTA fans have been waiting months to hear: Rockstar Games will begin its full marketing push for Grand Theft Auto VI this summer, ahead of the confirmed November 19, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The confirmation came directly from Take-Two's earnings materials, which included this statement sent to IGN: "Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar's launch marketing set to begin this Summer."
That sentence alone is more forward-facing than anything Take-Two has said publicly about the game's promotional rollout. The November 19 date itself was listed without revision in the company's forward schedule, and during its February 2026 earnings call Take-Two had already reiterated that GTA 6 was "firmly on track" for that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release. CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in the current timeline and flagged expectations for record net bookings in Fiscal 2027, with the earnings materials reinforcing that Rockstar's flagship title remains central to the company's financial outlook.
The path to November 19 has not been clean. The release previously shifted from a 2025 window to May 2026 before settling on its current November date. The February earnings call went some distance toward quieting renewed delay fears that had built after those back-to-back schedule moves, and the Q3 materials now land as the most definitive company statement yet that the calendar holds.

With summer marketing confirmed, industry watchers are pointing to August 2026 as the most likely window for the next substantial trailer or footage drop. The reasoning follows a standard blockbuster playbook: a late-summer preview campaign building steadily toward a mid-November release. If that cadence holds, the next big look at GTA 6 could arrive within weeks of the marketing campaign's opening move.
So far, Rockstar has released two cinematic trailers for the game. Both have shown dual protagonists Duval and Lucia Caminos against the backdrop of Leonida, Florida, including Vice City. No gameplay footage has appeared publicly, though leaks and AI fakes flooded social media late last year. The absence of any actual gameplay material, combined with Rockstar's characteristic silence on specifics, has kept speculation at a rolling boil across the community, with fans and creators anticipating trailers, gameplay reveals, and pre-order announcements as part of the summer push.
August cannot come soon enough.
