Texas mod gives search and patdown results real charge weight

A Texas data file is trying to solve one of LSPDFR’s quietest problems: search results that look useful in the moment but do not carry enough weight to build a believable charge. Texas - Items to search and pat down was made to go with Texas Charges for the MDT, and its whole job is to push patdown and vehicle-search finds into the paperwork side of police roleplay.

The upload page on LCPDFR.com showed 49 downloads and 626 views, which fits the scale of the project. This is not a flashy overhaul or a big new system. It is a small Visual and Data File Modifications release that targets a very specific handoff: what an officer finds on a person or in a car, and how that find becomes something usable in a report and a charge list.

REVIVING12 built the file around Patdown and Vehicle Search integration. The mod gives real charge weight to drugs and other items found on people and vehicles, so a generic search result can turn into a more structured legal outcome. In practice, that makes each stop feel less like a loose interaction and more like part of a chain that ends in a proper MDT entry.

That design fits neatly inside Policing Redefined, the LSPDFR plugin that advances ped and traffic stops and adds extra vehicle and on-foot traffic stops. Policing Redefined also has a dedicated Search Items configuration area, which makes the Texas file feel less like a standalone novelty and more like a working piece of a larger patrol system. The result is the kind of small systems-level change that can make a long shift feel procedural instead of repetitive.

The file is not locked to Texas, either. REVIVING12 says other states can adapt it by searching for the TX labels and replacing them, with NotePad++ recommended for finding those entries. That turns the upload into a template as much as a state-specific pack, useful for anyone building a custom MDT or patrol data setup.

It also sits in a broader direction the community has been moving for years. Search Vehicle Plugin already let players search an open vehicle for contraband, while Stop The Ped later added more than 1,200 unique lines of dialogue and support for more than 100 legal violations. More recent police-computer tools such as pdComp, NexusMDT Lite, MDTPro, and Police MDT have pushed deeper into citations, reports, warrants, evidence, lookups, and persistent records. Texas - Items to search and pat down lands right in that lane, where the smallest file can make the biggest difference to how a stop ends.
