Angry Chair Brewing listed for sale at $3 million in Tampa
Angry Chair Brewing hit the market for $3 million, with the brand, recipes and equipment included but the Tampa real estate left out.
A $3 million price tag has put one of Tampa’s best-known craft breweries in play, and the listing says the buyer would be getting far more than a taproom name on a sign. Angry Chair Brewing is being marketed as an “Established Craft Brewery Brand & Turnkey Opportunity,” a move that turns a South Seminole Heights favorite into a test case for how much reputation, recipe depth and production gear are worth in today’s beer market.
The sale covers the Angry Chair brand, brewing and packaging equipment, recipes, furniture and fixtures, plus training for new ownership. What is not part of the deal is just as important: the building and real estate are excluded, so the buyer would be stepping into the business without taking over the property itself. The taproom also remains open while the brewery is listed, keeping pours flowing at 4101 N Florida Ave. in Tampa, FL 33603.
That address still anchors a business that built its identity around access and volume. Angry Chair’s website lists taproom hours as 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. The FAQ says the brewery sells 750ml bottles, 16oz cans and crowlers, and that it has a dog-friendly patio and a kid-friendly taproom. It also points to events such as an anniversary party, Ric Flair night and the Super Rad Rare Beer Event during Tampa Bay Beer Week.

The brewery’s own beer archive lists 107 beers, a reminder that Angry Chair has long been more than a single flagship brand. Its website also says the brewery won a gold medal for its pilsner, a detail that helps explain why the listing is drawing attention well beyond Tampa. For a buyer, the attraction is not just production capacity; it is the chance to inherit an established name with a deep catalog and an audience already familiar with the brand.
The business traces its roots to late 2012, when Angry Chair Brewing, LLC was founded, and it opened to the public in 2014. The listing surfaced publicly the week of April 23, 2026, and a write-up on April 27 described it as a turnkey opportunity. For craft beer watchers, the bigger question is whether this is a one-off ownership change or another sign that even respected breweries are facing valuation pressure as the market sorts out what a proven brand is really worth.
