Caroline Foulk, co-founder of Laguna Beach-based Beer Girl Brewing Co., is set to pitch her low-ABV lager brand to investors on ABC's Shark Tank on March 18, taking the brand from regional craft shelves to one of national television's most watched deal-making stages.

Beer Girl's lineup consists of crisp lagers brewed at 3.5% ABV, zero sugar, and gluten-reduced, with corn standing in for wheat as the base grain. Foulk first brewed the beer in 2023 at her family's brewery, drawing on her experience running that operation and managing an autoimmune condition that made her rethink what she wanted from a beer. She and her husband, Griffin Foulk, officially launched distribution in 2024, positioning the brand around a straightforward premise: beer that doesn't leave you feeling heavy or bloated.

The Shark Tank appearance lands in the middle of a significant growth push. Starting March 1, Beer Girl began expanding beyond its existing footprint in select California and Arizona retail and on-premise accounts through a set of regional distributor partnerships. Andrews Distributing is handling Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas, Lipman Brothers covers Tennessee, Caffey & Carolina Premium Beverage takes North Carolina, and four distributors, Pepin Distributing Co, Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, Great Bay Distributors, and The Lewis Bear Co, are splitting coverage across Florida. Additional state launches are expected throughout 2026. Beer Girl has also partnered with Countermeasures (CMC) to support growth in targeted U.S. markets and push into key national accounts.

"This multi-state expansion marks a major milestone for Beer Girl," Foulk said. "We're excited to bring our lighter, low-ABV, gluten-reduced beer to a much wider audience as demand grows for more balanced options."

Nationwide direct-to-consumer online shipping is launching mid-March, extending reach beyond wherever distributor footprints end. The brand's stated strategy is deliberate, market-by-market growth with an emphasis on distributor partnerships and on-premise visibility, and the Shark Tank pitch represents the highest-profile moment yet in building the national awareness that strategy depends on.
