BevNomad Contracts Milwaukee Brewery to Launch Ireland’s White Hag Stateside
BevNomad contracts Milwaukee's Pilot Project Brewing to produce Ireland’s White Hag beers for U.S. markets, speeding fresh, local supply and wider distribution.

BevNomad, a Milwaukee-based beverage accelerator, has partnered with Irish brewery The White Hag to bring its award-winning beers to the United States through contract brewing at Pilot Project Brewing in Milwaukee. The White Hag, based in Ballymote, Sligo and twice named Ireland's top craft brewer, will see U.S.-market versions of Little Fawn Irish IPA, Black Boar Imperial Oatmeal Stout, Serpent Irish Pale Ale, Dagda Extra Hazy Pale Ale and White Sow Milk Stout brewed stateside to preserve freshness and speed availability.
BevNomad used Pilot Project Brewing's facilities to recreate the recipes for the U.S. launch. BevNomad Director of Operations John Graham said the beers were brewed to match the originals. The initial rollout targeted key on-trade markets in Boston and New York, and the brand reached roughly 400 U.S. accounts within 30 days of launch. Current availability spans Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Wisconsin, with production and distribution plans to expand into Illinois, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan and additional states.
Contract brewing for imported brands is a practical playbook for keeping hop-forward beers tasting like the brewer intended while avoiding long shipping times that can dull hop character and reduce shelf life. For taproom operators and bottle shops, locally brewed White Hag cans and kegs should arrive fresher than container-ship imports and offer more reliable replenishment. For festival organizers, a stateside production footprint reduces logistics complexity for special events and tap takeovers.
The collaboration is also significant for craft brewers and homebrewers watching cross-border partnerships. The White Hag and BevNomad plan further production partnerships to support growth and state-by-state distribution, a model that can scale without the quality compromises of low-frequency imports. For homebrewers, state-produced White Hag will provide a closer reference for clone attempts and recipe work, since flavor continuity is a stated priority for the team.
Pilot Project Brewing's role highlights a growing trend in the U.S. scene: accelerator-led brands using contract partners to jumpstart distribution while maintaining recipe fidelity. That approach can help independent breweries reach new drinkers quickly and keep hop aromas and stout roast notes intact when beers hit taps and shelves.
What this means for readers: expect fresher pours of White Hag in the listed states and keep an eye on expanded listings as production partnerships roll out. Bars and retailers looking to add international labels without import headaches should check local distributors for incoming allocations; homebrewers can take notes from the styles now more accessible on U.S. taps.
