Holidaily Brewing launches gluten-free lime lager for Celiac Awareness Month
Holidaily paired a lime-kissed gluten-free lager with a May 9 food fest, giving celiac and gluten-sensitive drinkers a rare all-in one craft-beer outing.

Holidaily Brewing Company turned Celiac Awareness Month into a two-part release in Golden, Colorado, with a limited-edition gluten-free Mexican-style lager with lime that went on sale May 1 at five breweries: Holidaily, Timnath Beerwerks, Wonderland Brewing, Two22 Brew, and Alley Brews Brewing. For drinkers who usually have to read labels twice, the point was bigger than a seasonal collab. Holidaily used the launch to draw a hard line between 100% gluten-free beer and gluten-reduced beer, a distinction that matters most for people with celiac disease and gluten sensitivities.
That message fits the brewery’s whole identity. Holidaily makes its beers with millet and buckwheat instead of gluten-containing grains, and the company says its mission is to make beer accessible to everyone. Founder Karen Hertz built the brewery after surviving melanoma and thyroid cancers and adopting a gluten-free diet during treatment, giving the brand a personal story that reaches beyond the tap list. Holidaily also has the credentials to back up the message, with a 2022 Colorado Craft Brewery of the Year nod and multiple medals from the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival.
The release lands during a month when celiac groups use awareness campaigns to spotlight a condition that affects about 1 in 100 Americans, while many cases still go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. Holidaily’s FAQ argues that the difference between gluten-free and gluten-reduced beer is not a technicality, it is the line between inclusion and uncertainty for many beer drinkers. In a crowded craft market, that clarity is part of the appeal.

The beer release leads into Holidaily’s 5th Annual Gluten-Free Foodie Fest, set for May 9 at the Golden Taproom, 801 Brickyard Circle, Unit B, Golden, CO 80403. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and no tickets are required. Holidaily says at least 10 gluten-free food vendors are confirmed, including Pambasos, D’Maracuchos, Isan Thai, The Wandering Potato, The Savage Beet, Nancy’s Notable Nibbles, Addies Addictions, Tom’s Waffles, and GoodLove, alongside live music and Holidaily’s own award-winning beers.
For gluten-free beer drinkers, the combination matters because it creates something still too rare in craft beer: a place where the pint list, the food lineup, and the brewing standards all line up without compromise. Holidaily’s Golden taproom already hosts gluten-free food trucks and community events, and this month’s pairing makes that year-round approach impossible to miss.
