Jack’s Abby Hosts German Christmas Market, Two Festive Weekends

Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers will host a German Christmas Market in its beer garden on the weekends of December 6 and 7 and December 13 and 14, the brewery announced in a November 25 press release. The market will run from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day at Jack’s Abby, 100 Clinton Street, Framingham, Massachusetts, and is designed to pair traditional holiday shopping with seasonal drinks and the brewery’s lager-focused lineup.

Organizers plan to feature 12 unique vendors each weekend showcasing handcrafted goods, holiday treats and locally made gifts. Selected vendors listed by the brewery include Burning Woman, Matt Fisher Ink, Ruff House Bakery, MAAZ Jewelry, Ma’s Marmalades, Wilson Woods Works, Burkes Candles, Baer Ceramics and Pottery, and Trashy Lil Treasures. Santa Claus is scheduled to make surprise visits on Sunday December 7 and Sunday December 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The market will offer mulled wine, hot hard cider and hot chocolate alongside Jack’s Abby seasonal beers. Seasonal releases advertised for the market include Extra Layer Winter Fest Lager at 6.0 percent ABV, Framinghammer Imperial Baltic Porter at 10 percent ABV, a Bourbon Barrel Aged Framinghammer Baltic Porter aged in bourbon barrels at 12 percent ABV, and Toy Soldier Christmas Lager at 7.8 percent ABV. For craft beer enthusiasts and homebrewers, the event provides an opportunity to taste darker lager styles and barrel aged offerings that reflect the brewery’s lager specialization.

In the spirit of community giving, Jack’s Abby will run a toy drive to benefit Framingham nonprofit Hoops and Homework. Donors who bring a new unwrapped toy for children ages five to twelve will receive 20 percent off their meal at the brewery.

Founded in 2011 in Framingham, Jack’s Abby is a family owned brewery focused on brewing world class lagers, and it now operates as part of Hendler Family Brewing Company. The market aims to showcase local makers and give beer lovers a festive venue to sample seasonal lagers while supporting neighborhood causes.
